Our last ‘meet the teacher’ meengs were held on Thursday with several Kindergarten parents and carers making the most of the opportunity to meet their child’s teacher and find out how they can help out at home with their child’s learning. Parent/teacher interviews will be held this term in Week 10 or 11. Notes will come home in the next few weeks, so please be sure to choose a me that suits you and return the book- ing form to school. Thursday was a busy day for our school last week as it also saw SCB students head off to Bellingen for a wonderful day vising sites from our local community that really bring the curriculum to life. By all accounts Mrs Inchley and the kids had a great day. On Friday, we farewelled our very special Praccum student, Donna Baldwin. Donna has been an SLSO at our school for several years now, but has been studying teaching at the same me. With this last praccum she has almost finished her teacher training. We are very proud of her efforts and it was great to see her in a variety of different classrooms in a completely different role. I am sure that we will see Donna around our school casual teaching at some me in the near future. Our school resembled an ant colony on Monday with all the kids involved in Clean Up Australia Day in the aſternoon. Classes were allocated different sectors and rubbish was collected from around our school environment. Well done to all involved! Year 6 applicaons for Year 7 placement in 2017 will go out today. Parents and carers of year 6 stu- dents are asked to complete the ‘Expression of Interest’ and return it to school as soon as possible. This Friday is the MNC Soccer Trials in Coffs Harbour. Our own Josh Munro will be trialling, which is very excing. Mr Lambert will be in aendance with his district team. Our Fun 7’s Day is also being held at Coronaon Park on Friday. There are about 40 boys and girls involved in this fun filled day. The focus is on parcipaon and fun and I am sure we will all have a great me. Have a great week. Todd.
