Pink on Grey is always safe when a man wants to add a touch of my favorite color. Keep your suits "GQ" men! Make sure it t to you (CUSTOM). This man in the dark suit (Gulp) has it locked, and he looks YUMMY in it!

Booty Booty BootyBefore you take your "ASS" in the spot light. Make sure we can't see your booty, and your red drawers. You should have stayed facing the front, because the back view is not whats up.

It’s always grind time at QS4. For over a quarter century, QS4 Entertainment has been putting in work in order to stay on top of Gainesville’s music market.

Currently, QS4 Entertainment is the Mecca of affordable marketing and promotion services. Some services include CD duplication, profes-sional grade beats, graphic design, consulting, radio, television and video production, website development and hosting, internet audio pre-sentations, publicity, radio/record promotions, street teams, limos, tour busses, photo shoots, magazine layouts, studio rentals, vehicle rap-ping and demo packages.

“If you’re looking to get the lowest rates at the best quality, come to QS4. We’ll get you in the stores, make professional beats, set up concerts and events with local and national talents,” said CEO of QS4 Kyle A. Green Sr. the brother of Moses Media, Inc. CEO Don "DC" Cody.

Mr. Green grew up in the St. Louis projects and moved to Gainesville after 25 years of travel-ing. “As soon as I got to Gainesville, I started networking and making moves,” he said. “It was hard at first because people didn’t accept me because I’m not from the South, per say. People saw me as competition, but I was just doing what I had to do.”

Now QS4 is the home to five companies; Quality Stay 4 Less Pay, Inc., a full-service low-priced travel agency, the hour-long ‘QS4 Presents’ TV show, which airs every third Friday in Gainesville and Jacksonville is hosted by Sarah Cherry and Tim Alexander, QS4 Travel and Booking, which brings many NFL athletes, recording artists like Lil’ Wayne, Plies and Young Jeezy, and comedians to the area, QS4 Studios, which offers TV, Radio, Internet and commercial services and QS4 Entertainment.

Green attributes the success of his company to focus, drive, work ethic and the power of a dream. “When you’re on the grind, you don’t stop to think of words like ‘if’, ‘can’t’, ‘I’m tired’ or ‘impossible’. It’s all about getting the job done. If something’s on my plate— I’mma get it off.”

Currently, QS4 houses 16 hip-hop and R&B artists. Ms. Danger, Ms. K-Red from St. Loius, Confushious, Eek Da Kat, Da Rocket, Dirt Road Money, bi-lingual rapper Chico Cabron, Sticky L, Biddy, Ghetto Soulja, Wiskey Rulet comedian

Cuz’n Pete, Da Cream Team, C-Will, Supa Man, Solo 4 and KJ.

“Here in Gainesville, we’re doing a lot of art-ist work in the clubs, with DJs, on TV com-mercials, and reaching out to the Mom & Pop stores,” Green said. “ I give a lot of people the opportunity and platform to showcase their talent.”

Nationally, QS4 is working on a couple projects. They are participating in “The Circuit” hosted by Kevin Black which is supposed to resemble an African-American style American Idol. They are going on 66-city talent search tour, which will be subsequently judged and then voted on. Quality Stay 4 Less Pay, Inc. is also working along with the International DJ Trade Association on the 1st Annual IDJ Awards & Trade Expo which is being held in Atlanta, GA on Aug 8 & 9, 2010. Quality Stay 4 Less Pay, Inc. will be handling the itineraries for more than 20,000 people, including DJ's.

“These are some projects were really proud of. I want to make sure to give a shout-out to the DJ’s because they are the ones that really make it happen - Bigga Rankin, Edwin Myles AKA OG Crazy Eddie, TJ’s DJ’s, DJ Klarc Shephard, DJ Terrah, and DJXL; and the big man upstairs makes everything possible.”

FLYERPROMONOW presents

Easter has come & gone, and honestly it went by so fast, I barely realized it was a holiday weekend! One thing is for sure…

spring is here, and the weather is treating us better. Leading up to the Easter weekend, Orlando’s nightlife has been busy. Plenty of promoters banked on this holiday weekend to throw big time parties. Some went off without a hitch, others were interrupted by federal government intervening. Tell me, did you catch any of them this weekend?

“GOOD GIRL GONE BAD” @ ESCAPE LOUNGE

This highly anticipated birthday celebration took place Saturday April 3 at the all new Escape Lounge. Celebrating the birthday of Infamous Meesha, Escape Lounge had finally seen the most people in its venue since it has been open. They have yet to build up their Saturday nights, but something tells me after this recent turnout, they could have a weekly winner real soon! Hosted by Shelly Flash& music by Disco JR really hyped this party, & live performance by our most popular local artists, both P.I. Bang & Kevin Cossom surely had the crowd going wild! Those Ladies 1st ladies were certainly in the building & taking over the entire back VIP area! I believe this was one of their homegirl’s birthday party. Regardless….great job girls! Looks like you’ve done it again! As for my fellow nightlife seekers, be sure to check out this spot next Saturday. Trust me when I say you’re going to make it your new Saturday nights!

NO VISA. NO PERFORMANCE.

Yes, we all heard the news. Both Bounty Killer's& Beenie Man's visas have been revoked, and they are no longer welcomed here in the United

States. The shocking thing is it happened a couple of days, if not the day, before their highly anticipated scheduled concert here in Orlando at Firestone on April 3. If you could imagine how sick the fans were feeling once they heard the news, then you can probably imagine how the promoter must of felt. This concert has been in the planning stages for quite some time now, and booking reggae artists is never an easy task. Then, on top of the already legal issues surrounding Bounty, this promoter certainly had to realize the risks involved with booking this artists. Nevertheless, the concert was cancelled & there is no word on a postponed date. However, if & once that info is mentioned, I will be sure to let you know all the details right away!

Well, that’s going to do it for me this week. Be sure to keep sending me your e-mails full of flyers, e-vites, and event info. Also, if you’re tired of the same party scene & you’d like some suggestions on something different, e-mail me at [email protected]. Until then…LET’S CELEBRATE.

How’s life my brother?Life is good right now just working and getting every-thing back in order.

What part of Orlando did you grow up in?I’m originally from New York, Brooklyn to be exact. I’ve lived in Miami, Haiti, and now here. I’ve done my share of traveling to say the least.

How long have you been in the rap game?I’ve been rapping since I was nine years old. However, I’ve been serious since 1999 in the studio making music.

What label are you signed to?I have an independent label called Five Star Entertainment. Also on the label is Fayzo, a singer and a rapper.

What are some of your major in uences in and out of the industry? The most important would be my children who push me to be successful and take it to another level. It’s a very prosperous business once you are knee deep in the game.

Who inspired you to pursue a rap career?I have a lot of people who inspired me such as Redman, Scarface, Buckshot, Biggie, Pac and the list goes on; the real rappers who were pioneers in the industry and have years of work which are still being played to this day. Russell Simmons is also a big one who really took the game to other business ventures and industries.

What is the name of your most recent album and what is the meaning behind it?The most recent is “Only God Knows” which is in produc-tion as of right now it should be releasing early summer, but we're are pushing for June. Throughout the trials and tribulations all the work putting into the album has been a long journey. These vary from the nancial issues, per-sonal, and business as well has been a struggle. The mix

tape which is about to drop soon is “Don Apollo for President” which should drop in early April.

Have you ever been in a group or have you always been a solo artist?Previously, I was in a group from 1996-2001 called “Samsun” which was comprised of me (Don Apollo) and Po’ Boy Artist Billy Blue.

Do you feel that you have got the recognition you deserve thus far and how do you plan on getting more exposure to yourself and your music?Locally, yes because we are embraced and we have a little buzz. However, our goal is to expand our horizons further throughout Florida and eventually nationwide. That’s pretty simple; by doing more shows, radio, and the internet, which is really key this day and age. I have a new studio which just got opened up. It’s been open for ve months now, where I've been in the booth 24/7 going mayhem.

Do you have any tips or advice that you can o er some up and coming local artists or teens who would like to pursue the music industry as a career?Of course always stick to your dream and believe in yourself. Also, don’t let anyone stop you from getting to the next plateau of life, rather it be musically or even education wise.

Do you have any other comments you will like to share with your fans and the readers? Please check out my facebook.com/donapollo, myspace.com/apollodon, YouTube, twitter.com/donapollo and you can Google me too. You can also download my music online on iTunes, datpi .com, and others. Keep your ear to the streets for my new album which will be released early June titled “Only God Knows”.

F rom New York to Florida they say from the South to the North music changes. The rap game has always been parted from these two distinct locations stating which is on top southern or

northern rappers. Don Apollo who is from Brooklyn but now resides to Orlando has been doing his thing since the age of nine. He has gone through several struggling times from having to rebuild his stu-dio; the very place which lets him put food on the dinner plate. He has been in a group which really didn’t work out too well to now becom-ing an independent artist. He is now managing his own independent label searching for new talent to sign while trying to float his own career dropping a mix tape and an album this year. He sits down with me and expresses his thoughts on all these topics and why it made him a better person and artist. - Interview by Nick Grace

Explain to the ones that don’t know who you are and what is it that you do or have done in the city of Orlando.

My name is Moses CEO of Big Beatz Entertainment. I am a night club promoter that has done numerous events in the Orlando area for over 3 years now. I am also a member & road manager of the Grammy award winning producer team The Nasty Beatmakers.

For those that don’t know, what is NocturnalJungle.com? What is the vision or goal of the website?

Nocturnaljungle.com is a social network/search engine strictly for nightlife. If you're ever in doubt of where to go or what to do in your city when it comes to nightlife, we've got you covered. We have the latest information on DJ's, nightclubs, and promoters. Our ultimate goal for the website is to cover nightlife worldwide.

The word on the street is that NocturnalJungle.com is real hot as of late. What would you say is the secret to the success of the company?

Everything we do we try to make a team effort. If there's ever something that one of us misses the other is there to pick it up. We tend to be tough on each other when it comes to our ideas so the end result usually displays that.

Most people say you guys are the originators of Monday night clubbing with Nocturnal Monday’s at Tessa. How were you guys able to make that night so successful?

(Laughs) There's really no big secret! For the most part we truly rely on the loyalty of our NocturnalJungle.com community. The website has allowed us to continuously reach out to the clientele that appreciates what we do every Monday night. Not to mention the fact that we have one of Orlando's hottest DJ's, DJ Prime Time, DJ PointBlanc and the guidance of our good friend Jae Johnson of the Firm.

You guys seem so humble in what you do. How are you guys able to remain humble in a business where people “show off”?

Humble is the way to be man. We've been taught from a young age that as easy as it was given to you, it can be taken away just as easily. Don't get us wrong, it’s tough

to stay grounded at times, but at the end of the day we cherish every bit of what we've earned up until this point. How long have you guys been in the entertainment industry?

Offi cially we've been at it since June of 2009, which is hard to believe seeing that we've been able to accomplish so much in such a short time.Besides Monday nights at Tessa, what other current or upcoming events do you guys have in store for the city of Orlando?

Our latest endeavor is a new night at Aqua Lounge in Metro West called "Lehaim" "A toast to the good life". Where our bottle specials are 3 for $150!!! That is unheard of. (Laughs)How would you compare the club scene in Orlando to the club scene in Miami? Would there be anything you would change about the scene in Orlando?

A GROUP OF YOUNG MOGULS DETERMINED TO CHANGE THE INDUSTRY ONE STEP AT A TIME. THE ENTERTAINMENT INDUSTRY IN ORLANDO IS SIMILAR TO A HUGE OCEAN. YOU HAVE MANY TEAMS THAT TRY TO RULE THE OCEAN BUT ARE CONSIDERED THE SMALL FISH. HOWEVER, YOU THEN HAVE THOSE TEAMS THAT ARE CONSIDERED THE BIG FISH BECAUSE THEY ARE ABLE TO CHANGE THE GAME LIKE NONE OTHER. NOCTURNALJUNGLE.COM IS NOT ONLY ONE OF THE MOST INTERACTIVE WEBSITES FOR NIGHT LIFE BUT THESE GUYS HOLD SOME OF THE MOST SOUGHT OUT PARTIES IN ORLANDO PERIOD. FROM NOCTURNAL MONDAY'S AT TESSA TO LEHAIM (TOAST TO THE GOOD LIFE) AT AQUA LOUNGE ON THURSDAYS, THIS TEAM IS DETERMINED IN BRINGING SOMETHING TOTALLY NEW TO THE ORLANDO SCENE. PLEASE SIT BACK, RELAX AND TAKE NOTES.

FLYERPROMONOW & TALKOFORLANDO.COM PRESENTS THIS WEEK’S TALK OF ORLANDO,

NOCTURNALJUNGLE.COM,

32 | www.flyerpromonow.com

Page 37: fpnorl_34thedition

If you think that you are the Talk of Orlando, you can submit your information

to [email protected] subject line “I am the Talk of Orlando”

Honestly, there's no comparison! But we stay optimistic with hopes that one day Orlando may at least get close to the Miami scene.

Do you guys see any competition in Orlando? There's always going to be competition, but the key to

remaining relevant and successful is to always perform better in your last piece of work, whether it be your website or last event.

Everyone has their own personal lives outside of the entertain-ment industry. Do you guys ever find it difficult to balance out the two?

Most certainly! It's tough, but when you have a goal in mind along with people who care for you, the little bumps in the road always work themselves out.

What advice would you give to someone that is interested in promotion or creating a similar website such as NocturnalJungle.com?

First and foremost you have to remain focused. You have to have patience and believe in your prod-uct. We've been building our brand since 2006 and that came along with lots of unexpected trials and tribulations, but being focused reminds us about the goal we have in mind. There are a couple of web-

sites in Orlando dedicated to club/night life promotion. What makes your website different than those out there currently?

In some ways we're similar to the other sites, but what distinguishes NocturnalJungle.com from any other nightlife website is our sophisticated search engine and social net-working functionality. For example, if you used our search engine, you can search by drink specials. So if you are a Heineken drinker you can find an event by simply search-ing for Heineken.

What forms of promotion do you guys use to promote your nights?

NocturnalJungle.com Baby!Explain the Tokyo Tea movement in Orlando? There is major speculation as to what club/bar makes the best Tokyo Tea in Orlando. Care to elaborate?

(Laughs) Everyone knows that Nocturnal Mondays at Tessa is the true originator of Tokyo Tea! If anyone needs to verify that, we suggest they come check it out for them-selves! Shout out to DJ Infa-Red!

If you guys were able to do a party outside of Florida, where would it be and why?

It would have to be a tie between New York City and Las Vegas, because the opportunity as far as nightlife goes in those cities are endless!

It seems as though there is some sort of segregation between promotional companies in the city. Would you guys agree with that statement?

Yes. We feel as though it has something to do with the fact that, if someone in particular put you on to this night-life industry, that's who you're prone to run with simply because of nightlife's cut throat approach.

Do you guys have any shout outs at this time?First and foremost we want to shout out everyone that

firmly supports the NocturnalJungle.com movement! Shout out to Jae & The Firm. Shout out to Prime time DJ's DJ PointBlanc and DJ Infa-red. Shout out to Live Squad. Shout out to TalkofOrlando.com.

The Island Hype team met up with Wayne Wonder at Mr. CC's Birthday bash. If you weren’t there, you missed a PARTY!

I am here with the Great Wayne Wonder who is one of my favorite artists from childhood. Now I know you’ve been singing for a long time so what keeps you motivated and staying in the industry?

I just love to do what I do and if you love something you just keep doing it. I always try to keep myself moti-vated and always think positive. I’ve just got to keep pushing! I want to do this for as long as I can.

I hear that and I hope you do. How do you go about writing some of your songs? Do some of them just come to you or do you listen to a beat and then get a feeling from it?

Well it goes both ways you know, I might start a song by just vibing to the beat but there has to be a topic or an experience or something that sparks the writing. There is always something that sparks the pen to the paper. Sometimes it’s an event you know, something that took place before. For example, I might listen to the beat and then there is always an event I might ash back to and say ok this is the situation and it just comes out.

That is true, so if I am not prying too much what is the story behind “No let-ting go”?

No letting go is like a close song to me. It is a real song. That song is about my girl. We have been together over the years since high school days so it just came to me. As I said there is always a spark that puts the pen to the paper you know, so it is de nitely a story from the heart.

You know some of those songs are the best songs when you write them from your heart because that song is really one of those songs where most people can relate to.

Wayne Wonder – Yes it is a Reality an Actuality you know. It’s real!

How are you enjoying Orlando? Have you visited here a lot?

Oh yes Orlando is like my second home. I’ve been friends with CC for many years so I always look forward to visiting Orlando. I was here sometime last year and I brought my kids here and we went to Disney.

Oh that is great. There are a lot of fun things to do up here. Do you have any upcoming projects that you might want to shout out?

I have a couple of new singles coming out. I have a song called “In Your Eyes” produced by McGregor on the No Doubt Record. I’m working on a couple of other things

and otherwise just networking as usual. I’ve been all over the place! I was in Dubai a couple of weeks ago and Abu Dhabi. I made a run in Europe also including Germany, Holland, Spain so many places. I’ve been on the road just spreading my music.

I’m sure they love you all over the world. Where is one of the places that you really love going?

Well I like Japan. Japan is awesome, the energy is crazy!

That is awesome. Well thank you so much for your time. Before we go is there anybody you want to shout out?

I want to shout out to everyone out there sup-porting reggae music and big up to all my island people. No matter where I go in the world I can always look forward in meeting some island peo-ple. They say island people we are like water, we are everywhere!

Dear Shannon,

My boyfriend and I have gotten pretty serious lately; however we constantly get into arguments regarding my job situation. I recently got laid o , but take on temporary jobs here and there which require a lot of travel, in which he complains about. Should I try and get a stable job where he lives? What if it doesn't work out?

Dear In Between:

The economy has many people taking on frustrating job roles just to make ends meet, but it seems like it has been an equal strain on your relationship. If you are able to secure a permanent job which will allow you to be closer to your mate, then congrats on the new job! However, please keep in mind that you should be equally concerned about making the right career choice just in case the relationship doesn't work out.

Best of luck, Shannon

What’S NeW With prOte-J theSe dayS?It’s all about promoting my free album “Good Hip Hop

Meets Radio” right now, de nitely a lot of good things going on, especially this month. I'll be in Atlanta the weekend of the 16th doing some songwriting and producing for Bad Boy, my album release party is at Dragon Room on the 21st, I'm performing at the Florida Music Festival on the 24th, and I'm opening up for Fabolous at Destiny Nightclub on April 29th. I got a crazy schedule lined up and it feels good.

hOW WOuLd yOu characterize yOur rap StyLe aNd hOW iS yOur MuSic SO uNique tO the rap gaMe?

I think it's safe to say I'm not your typical "Southern rap-per." I've lived in Central Florida for 10 years now, my family is from up North, and I was also raised overseas, so all those factors combined giving me a very di erent sound. As far as my rapping style, I like using word play and taking my lyrics a step deeper. And I’m not a negative artist and I make sure all my songs re ect that.

hOW did yOu gO abOut gettiNg iN the iNduStry aNd WhO Were SOMe Of yOur greateSt iNfLueNceS?

Some of my greatest in uences are Michael Jackson (R.I.P.), Ryan Leslie, and Jay-Z, to name a few. I also grew up on a lot of gospel music, and I rst started learning how to play instruments in my church. I pretty much got in the industry by mainly using all the resources on the internet. All these social networks (Twitter, Facebook, etc.) are an excellent way to directly establish a relationship with fans, and I'm using all of them to connect with people and spread my music. I've also got my personal website/blog which is where we direct all the tra c from those other sites. Using the internet, having a strong team, increasing visibility with street promo and building solid relationships with people has helped me establish myself.

hOW dO yOu MaNage tO iNcOrpOrate the iNStruMeNtS yOu pLay iNtO yOur MuSic?

I usually just build o melodies I create playing my gui-tar or messing around on the piano. Once I gure out the "main sound" of the track, everything else falls in to place. I really love stringed instruments, which is why you hear a lot of strings in my beats. I also used to be in my high school drum line, and aside from being called Nick Cannon, I loved it. That's when I really got into percussion, so the drums on my tracks usually have a lot going on.

hOW tOugh iS it tO Write aNd prOduce yOur OWN MuSic?It just depends. Sometimes everything just ows and as

I'm making the beat I'm also writing the song. Other times the process takes a lot longer, and I usually don't come up with any lyrics until the beat is completely done. I really like doing everything myself though. It makes my music sound cohesive and people tend to notice.

What fieLd did yOu See yOurSeLf iN due tO the fact yOu WeNt tO cOLLege aNd received yOur bacheLOrS iN buSiNeSS adMiNiStratiON?

Well, I always saw myself in music, but I decided to go to college to make sure I had something to fall back on. This industry is very "i y" and what's hot today may not be hot tomorrow. Plus the music business in general is basically 10% music (if that), and 90% business.

hOW did yOur reLatiONShip With MLb Star priNce fieLder cOMe abOut aNd What WaS the cONcept behiNd the hit SONg “heir tO the thrONe?”

My manager, Ben, is good friends with Prince. We got a chance to travel with the Milwaukee Brewers during the 2008 season, and that's when we started talking about the song. Prince is a big fan of my music, and he wanted to help get my name out there by letting me do his at bat song. "Heir to the Throne" turned out to be huge (over 30k views on YouTube) and I've got a lot of recognition among base-ball fans. The concept of it is pretty simple. Prince is soon to be the king of baseball, whether you like it or not. He's truly one of the most talented players in the game, so make sure you get familiar!

yOur NeW aLbuM iS caLLed “gOOd hip hOp MeetS radiO.” caN yOu eLabOrate ON yOur titLe? dO yOu feeL the radiO iS SLackiNg ON What they pLay?

I feel like there's not much depth to what's being played on the radio, and in order for songs to do well they have to be dumbed down for the masses. It all comes back to people in general and what they want to hear. Most listeners just like songs that "sound good" overall. If there's a good beat or a catchy hook, that's usually enough. "Good Hip Hop Meets Radio" is about me being able to create good beats and catchy hooks, but also have some lyrical depth in the verses.

hOW did the MarketiNg Strategy Of MakiNg yOur NeW aLbuM free cOMe abOut? What Made yOu NOt WaNt tO SeLL the aLbuM?

This rst project is simply a huge investment in people. It's free because we want to get it to as many people as

P rote-J is a very diverse rapper who has moved from the west coast to out the country and now resides on the east. Being born in L.A. and moving to third world country, Papua New Guinea then back to Daytona Beach has given him a better perspective than most rappers. He is not the common rapper who speaks about females in derogatory manners, jewelry, or drugs and cars. His style is unique being he plays sev-

eral instruments himself and also produces his very own music. His new project is genius, to say the least, being he is not even selling his album but giving it to the fans for free. The title of his debut album says it all “Good Hip Hop Meets Radio.” He is bringing back hip hop the right way, where all the critics will have nothing to speak on except the talent he possesses. “Heir to the Throne” which is the o cial song of Prince Fielder, of the Milwaukee Brewers, garnered national attention, including a spot on MTV.com. Prote-J is so well known back in Papua New Guinea for his work that they put him on the front page of the national newspaper. I sat down and spoke to him about his future and exactly what he plans to bring to the table in this challenging industry. - Interview by Nick Grace

possible and establish a core fan base. Once the music is out there and we've established a brand, it'll be much eas-ier to sell my music. Very few people other than your grand-mother and your best friend will pay for your music if you're a brand new artist.

We've been pushing the album pretty hard online. Shouts to Team Prote-J and all my fans that are helping spread my name to the world. It's been a little over a month since my album dropped, and we're just over 4000 downloads. Now that I have some exposure, we're planning a lot more shows all over Central Florida. We'll be hitting all the major colleges to perform and also ood them with CD’s, posters, yers, and stickers. We're also reaching out to DJs, press, bloggers, podcasts, etc. Details will be on www.Prote-J.com. I've also been getting national airplay in Papua New Guinea (north of Australia, where I grew up), so we're working on an inter-national tour over there and through the Paci c Islands. All the info will be made available on my website.

It felt amazing and it was de nitely a dream come true. That's my home so it really meant a lot to me. The oppor-tunity came after I did an interview for OnMilwaukee.com

about Prince Fielder's song. Shouts to Drew Olsen! One of the writers for the Papua New Guinea newspaper read it online and reached out to us. They've actually written two cover stories about me so far and they continue to show me so much love all over the country.

It's time for the NBA regular season to come to an end. It's also time for the Playoffs to begin. Our Orlando Magic are 7 games (give or take

or a few) behind the Cavaliers with the number two seed in the East. Recently the Magic went 13-2 in a 15 game streak. Once again I'm going to talk about the fact that the public is undermin-ing the fact that they are the defending Eastern Conference Champions. Not only did they beat the Cavaliers but the Cavaliers had a home-court

advantage. Basically the point I'm making is going back to the NBA Finals is very much a possibility for the Magic as it was last year. With Vincanity added to the Magic roster this season it isn't much of a change from having Hedo Turkoglu in the lineup. Vince can hit shots from anywhere on the court, especially when he gets in a zone. I sup-port the Magic and as cliche as it may sound I believe in Magic; not only because I live here but because they have a good chance and they are a good team that has, can, and will beat other (or better) teams. If you follow my articles then y o u know I've said all of this before.

I also said that I hoped that the Celtics acquiring Rasheed Wallace might help cut back on his technical fouls. Close but no cigar for me. As of press time Wallace has 13 technical fouls with the 16th resulting in automatic sus-pension. Another player who needs to watch out for those is Orlando's own Dwight Howard. Playoff games are way more intense and crucial than

regular season games. Losing key players dur-ing playoffs is not a good look. They better watch those mini temper tantrums.

I can't forget that the race for 2009-2010 MVP is on. Who will you be voting for? The players have already begun to hear the M-V-P chants. I definitely won't be rooting for Kobe, yes I am hating a tiny bit. I would love to see someone like Kevin Durant get it. Just because out of all the the nominees he would be considered the

underdog. Clearly, Kevin Durant is nobody's under-dog, so don't take that the wrong way.

I have to shoutout and congratulate the Connecticut Women's Basketball team for winning the NCAA Championship Game. As

of press time the Men's tournament hasn't con-cluded but my prediction about Kentucky mak-ing it to the finals was wrong. Hey I can't be right every time, just most of the time.

In a past article I talked about Tiger and his wife asking Kobe and his wife for advice on how to rebuild your career after a scandal. I don't know if Tiger took my advice or not but he will be return-ing to the game of golf to the Masters in Augusta, GA on April 5th. I don't think it's

too soon and I also think it's a smart move. The Masters are a BFD and so security is

heightened. He won't have to deal with the paparazzi and the nosy media all in his

grill. I'm rooting for him to win. His sex life has nothing to do with his career.

You go Tiger.

With numer-ous reports of incidents

of vandalism to congressmen and congresswomen local offices and threatening

phone calls, the situation is dangerous. The conditions war-rant police intervention and families must maintain high alert. In 2010 no one expected the healthcare reform bill to generate an environment where our legislators would fear for their life.

There is a divide in America and there is a segment of the country, which believes that they no longer can stop the shift that is taking place. The past is quickly changing and minorities will soon be the majority, and this violent segment in our country is angry about everything.

As more families become multi-cultural and collabora-tions and alliances build progressive organizations, every-one will be forced to adapt. Mistreating someone because they are women or because they have a disability will not be tolerated. The challenge of our progressive country is that every person has the opportunity to reach their highest potential, regardless of their race, gender or birthplace.

Obama has consistently taught all Americans that taking the higher road, when there are misconstrued statements, which border on fabrication will somehow work them-selves out. When your integrity is being tested the truth will eventually rise to the top.

The healthcare reform bill is a landmark decision that will open the door of opportunity for an additional 30 million citizens to receive medical insurance. In order to service an additional 30 million clients, there will be an addition of 2 to 3 million new jobs. There is no way the existing medical profession can handle an additional 1 million new clients and 30 million new clients is out of the question.

Instead of the Republican Party trying to throw a wrench in the legislative proceeding, they should be work-ing together with Democrats and the president’s adminis-tration to implement a new strategy for a transformational system. Everyone who lives in present day America knows that healthcare is too expensive and the system is cor-rupt and broken. With the passage of this new healthcare

reform bill, our leaders have an opportunity to create and do something great.

Instead of inciting violence and trying to stop a bill that can help our country, the Republicans and conservatives will have to learn to accept defeat graciously. As a country we cannot go backward, but instead we must go forward. Calling legislators derogatory names and spiting on them is not going to change their vote and stop legislation that has been signed by the president.

Violence is a part of the American mindset and our struggle is to move forward with a conciliatory initiative, which will create compromise. No group will win with violence and eventually someone or someone’s family will get injured or hurt.

At this juncture, no one knows to what extent this vio-lent contingent of conservatives will go to make a point. It is time for Americans to accept that we are one and our diver-sity makes us great. The freedoms that we possess give all Americans the opportunity to be born poor, and eventually become a multimillionaire or the president of the country.

Our leaders must stand together and let this unstable group of vandals know that they will be prosecuted to the highest degree of the law if they are caught breaking the law. There is no place in 2010, where our system will allow law-breakers to challenge the authority of law-abiding citizens.

The Republican Party has the responsibility to denounce the violent group of conservatives, and move toward com-promise. The members of the Republican Party should not have to apologize for calling other members baby killers. There is a thin line when a colleague is being disrespectful and creating the wrong inference from their behavior.

It is time for the Republican Party and the right to con-cede this battle, and work to the unification of the legis-lative body. By working together to diffuse violence, the legislative body can get back to the task at hand. America has numerous challenges and united and standing together as one, we have the ability to move forward our nation.
