BBB Welcomes New Yavapai County Director

L ong time northern Arizona resident Tracie

Schimikowsky, will serve as the Yavapai County

Director for the BBB Prescott office. Collaborating

with local businesses, media, organizations, and

consumers, Schimikowsky will lead outreach

efforts to build awareness of BBB services in

northern Arizona.

As past President/CEO of the Chino Valley

and Camp Verde Chambers of Commerce,

Schimikowsky brings a wealth of knowledge

in the areas of community outreach, program

development and relationship building. In her new role, Schimikowsky

will continue to provide valuable resources to the community through

educational presentations, strategic partnerships, and overall local initiatives.

Happenings from Around Our Service Area

BBB’s first monthly presentation at the Lake Havasu senior Center was a success with over 65 seniors present.

Through a collaboration with the Arizona Hispanic

Chamber of Commerce, BBB was able to present

to numerous businesses attending the nfL matchmaking forum at the Arizona Biltmore in

Phoenix.

Promoting our vision of creating a marketplace where buyers and sellers can trust each other, BBB

conducted various outreach activities during the fourth quarter of the year. We educate our commu-

nity on the importance of using a BBB Accredited Business and the free resources available.

In preparation for the holiday

shopping season, BBB shared 2014

trends and tips for smart shopping

with City of Yuma viewers.

BBB Foundation partnered with

questions about scams and fraud

during the Tele-Town Hall hosted in

their Phoenix office.

where Hispanic business owners gathered to learn about valuable resources.

The “Queen of Caffeine” from 100.9 fm/1450 am fun oldies, surprised the Yavapai County BBB office with bagels and coffee and shared with listeners our new location and hours of operation.

Great connections were made at the Lake Havasu Chamber am exchange as Mohave County Director Elaine Cullen networked with

local business leaders.

KYma news 11 viewers in Yuma learned about the latest holiday job

scams, along with tips on how to safeguard personal information when

searching for jobs online.

BBB joined over 1,200 job seekers

and local business owners at the

2014 Yuma Job fair.
