Solar Data & Production

₃ Over 210 sunny days per annum and 1,154.4 kWh / m² / yearly solar flux energetic (average solar energy from solar radiation which is considered on incidental horizontal plan)

₃ Centre for Renewable Energy Sources-approved software used – Photovoltaic

Geographical Information Systems (PVGIS).

₃ The figures are submitted in kWh (mp/year), in horizontal plan, the most used calculation method for energetic application.

₃ The solar map related for Giurgiu area is developed and offered by Energy Research

Institute, Italy - entity under coordination of EU

Technical proposed solution ₃ Fixed system technology. ₃ Polycrystalline-Silicon Cells, the best solution taking into consideration the PV surface project

and the equipment costs acquisition which offer a production yield of 15-17%.The power of the panel is 230 W from Swiss Watt.

₃ Inverter Power One, SMA 500 TL. ₃ Aluminum fixed structure with the inclination of the panel to the horizontal of

30º and azimuth 0º.

Opportunity Background

₃ Romania rated as the 3rd fastest growing country in the EU for gaining planning permission for wind turbine developments (according to European Wind Energy Association); After the coming into force of Renewable Energy Law it is expected a similar growth.

₃ For the next 2-3 years at least, the revenues from green energy projects (MWh price plus GC price) will be higher than the current price situation (no external market factors are considered).

₃ Capacity power solar energy in Romania predicted to reach 1.2 TWh by 2020 (currently

the power installed is a little bit lower than 2GWh)

₃ Romania estimated to have a very high solar energy potential in Europe. Romania ranks 11

th place in the 30 EU countries (included Turkey, Croatia and Macedonia) as a potential

of global yearly irradiation, from horizontal & optimum angle and vertical mounting. The best positions are “occupied” by the south countries, like Turkey, Spain or Greece.
