EVOLUZIONE SPORT COUTURE: MUST HAVE DELLA STAGIONESport Couture
Evolution: a must-have of the season
FOTOSHOE15 8
quello che viene defini-to come Street Luxury.
stilistaMary Katrantzou .La Sport-Couture influenza inoltre
luniverso degli accessori sottomolteplici aspetti, dando vita a
calzature ibride.

O rganized by Lineapelle in its venue of Milan, the seminarheld
this past October by Daniela Squadroni took an in-depth look into
one of the most important trends for theWinter 2015 and Summer 2016
season of clothing and footwear:sport couture. In fact, according
to this researcher, we are cur-rently witnessing a double trend in
the fashion market: fromone end, the movement from high-end to
low-end sees luxurybrands (Gucci, Givenchy, Valentino, and Zegna),
looking withincreasing interest to streetwear and casualwear, in
order to cre-ate what is known as Street Luxury. (An example of
this kindof sport couture is the footwear of Giuseppe Zanotti
Design). From the other end, there is a movement from the low-end to
thehigh-end, with sportswear and activewear becoming
increasinglypret--porter: an example of this collaboration between
fashiondesigner and sports brand is the collaboration between
Pumaand Yamamoto, or the more recent collaboration between
AdidasOriginals and the young stylist Mary Katrantzou. Sport
Couture also influences the universe of footwear under anumber of
different aspects, giving life to hybrid footwear. Thetarget of
reference in particular is the new middle class: youngadults who
grew up with gym shoes on their feet, and who areunwilling to
forego the comfort of a sports shoe, not even whenthey are at work
or attending a more formal occasion.

movimento proponendo metallizzati, tessuti cangian-ti, glitter e
broccati luminosi.
Last but not least troviamo
gliaccessori in metallo e smaltati, i cristalli, le borchie, le

N ot only leathers, but also synthetics: increasingly
attractive, sophisticated, innovative, and trendy. For the
newFall/Winter 2015-16 season, synthetics just like leathers are
the protagonists of Lineapelle in Milan, with a focus on lightand
the effects created by its movement, through metalizeddetails,
iridescent fabrics, glitter and bright brocades. Also ani-mal
prints are influenced by this trend, coexisting with playfuland
colorful fantasies. Enlivening surfaces and playing with theeffects
of light are weavings and 3D techniques including cock-ade effects,
embossed designs, and paddings. Next to bright andwavy materials we
find tailor made fabrics like tweed, hound-stooth, boiled wools and
velvet, perfect also for revamping sportyfootwear. Last but not
least, we find metallic and glazed acces-sories, crystals, studs,

Our usual appointment with the show dedicated to the latest
innovations in foot-wear accessories returns with soles, heels,
components, and insoles for the new Fall-Winter 2015-16 fashion
season presented on the occasion of the Lineapelle trade fair,
which returned with great success to Milan with an increasingly

finishings and colors, cutting-edge materials that are increasingly
lightweight and high quality, and a price/quality ratio that
created greater interest in a product, the accessory, that takes on

linee, forme, suole, metallerie e materiali.
At Lineapelle the stylists pavilion welcomed some of the most
renowned internation-al designers around, featuring an exclusive
presentation of their prototypes for the Fall/Winter 2015-16
fashion season, emphasizing lines, shapes, soles, metal fittings,
and materials. A vintage mood characterized the proposals, shining
the spotlight on natural leather expertly aged with worn effects,
and used above all in mens wear, while for womens glamour and
metalized leathers were the protagonists. Also of particular note
were the metal fittings, accessories, and appliqus used to enrich
and grant each model a unique personality.

Le Cuir Paris
PRIMA VOLTA SOTTO LA GUIDA DI PREMIRE VISION First time by

59% provenientidallestero. Il Salone ha quindirafforzato la propria
attrattivasui mercati internazionali,soprattutto quelli
tradizionalicome lItalia (+16,5%), gli StatiUniti (+16%) e il
Giappone(+13%).
fiera rispetto a settem-bre 2013.
lAutunnoInverno 2015-16 in fatto dipellami e pellicceria
eventoleader a livello mondiale, unpassaggio obbligato
manifestazione chediventa Premire VisionLeather.
materiali stravaganti, lavoratiallestremo e volutamente
mal-trattati dallo spirito punk-dandy. Inoltre, come enuncia-to dal
titolo More & More, siafferma in generale la tenden-za alla
qualit e al meglio.
Come pellami troviamo ancoratanto agnello e capretti e
tantalana, cos come pellicce sel-vagge oppure, allopposto, molto
creative, ludiche, colo-rate.
fontedi ispirazione.Troviamo per anche materialiprotettivi, caldi e
avvolgenti, che coccolano e danno sicu-rezza. Rispetto al passato,
lamano dei pellami diventa pispessa e densa. Come finiturepassiamo
strass, paillettes, filod'oro e decori estremi.A livello di gamma
cromatica, troviamo tonalit delicate epolverose e pastelli
brillanti.

T he 27th edition of Le Cuir Paris came to an endthis past
September 18th,registering more than 16,231visitors, which was
comprisedby a 59% foreign presence.The Show accordingly rein-forced
its popularity withinternational markets, andespecially the
traditional ones, like Italy (+16.5%), the UnitedStates (+16%), and
Japan(+13%). Based on attendancenumbers, the changes in
theinternational trade fair calen-dar, along with Air
Francesstrike, had little or no effect onthe final results of the
Show:in fact, there was only a 4.5%drop in visitor attendancefrom
the previous September2013 edition. This edition of the Show wasthe
first to be organized byPremiere Vision, with an offerthat featured
the latest leatherand fur proposals for Fall-Winter 2015-16
proposed bythe 432 exhibiting companies, coming from 23 countries
toparticipate, with Italian ven-dors accounting for 54% of thetotal
(followed by the Frenchat 15.5% and Spanish at9.5%).
With its two forums dedicatedto fashion information andnew
trends expanded withthis edition to include an areaof more than 750
sqm -, LeCuir a Paris established itselfonce again as a leading
inter-national showcase and anessential event for staying
up-to-date and learning aboutthe latest developments in thesector,
as well as for doingbusiness. Many initiatives enriched theShow
including the Bespoke
space, dedicated to savoir-faire and applications in theleather
and fur industries, and the contest Craft theLeather (organized in
collab-oration with Tuscan tanners, the Genuine Italian
Vegetable-Tanned Leather Consortium,and the Tuscan
RegionalAuthority), which this yearwas granted to Belgian
con-testant, Louise de Groote, andhis interpretation of
vegetable-tanned leather. The next edition of this FrenchShowcase
will be held from 10to 12 February 2015, when thechanges connected
to Pre-miere Visions new ownershipof the event will be fully
andofficially put into effect, start-ing with the new name givento
the show of Premire VisionLeather. Winter 2015-16For the coming
winter, leathersand furs are increasinglyeccentric, moving
betweenopposing trends and polaropposites: we move from thedesire
and quest for eternalquality, characterized by a
minimalist and extremely lux-urious spirit; to
extravagantmaterials, characterized by anexaggerated
manipulationand deliberate mistreatmentof the materials, in a
totalpunk-dandy spirit. Addition-ally, as expressed by the
titleMore & More, there is a ten-dency to increasingly focus
onquality and the very best onoffer. As far as leathers are
con-cerned, there is lots of lamb-skin, kidskin, and wool, aswell
as animal furs or, in con-trast, there are extremely cre-ative and
playful colors. Thesuccess of iridescent leatherscontinues,
becoming howevermore sophisticated. Doublingtechniques allow
leather totake on the consistency of neo-prene, and the world of
sportscontinues to be an importantsource of inspiration. However,
we also find protec-tive materials that are warmand wraparound,
embracingand providing a feeling ofsafety. Compared to the pastthe
hand of leathers is thickerand denser. As far as finish-ings are
concerned, theyrange from matte and ultra-matte effects to flashes
of lightcreated by rhinestones, sequins, golden thread, andextreme
dcor. The chromatic range includesdelicate and powdery tonesand
bleached pastels. Orangeand grey complement oneanother without
contrasting, but there are also violet-tonedblues or electric blues,
andextremely dark reds that lookalmost black. Finally, a
sur-prisingly upbeat and fresh yel-low, unusual for the winter,
ispresented, along with lots ofgreen in a myriad array ofdark and
bright tones.
