Dear Exhibitors & Sponsors,
2010MARKS 26 YEARS OF THE INTERACTION FORUM, Aconvening space for the international development and
humanitarian community. In 2009, a thousand profes-sionalsrepresenting over 250 public, private and non-governmental organi-
zationsparticipated in the annual Forum, taking advantage of the numerousopportunities to learn, network and engage on issues of critical importance totheir work. The InterAction Forum each year brings together individuals from avariety of sectors in one of the largest gatherings of development professionalsin the country.
In a recent speech on the elevation of development in U.S. foreign policy, Secretary of State HilaryClinton noted, Development was once the province of humanitarians, charities, and governments
looking to gain allies in global struggles. Today it is a strategic, economic, and moral imperativeas
central to advancing American interests and solving global problems as diplomacy and defenseBecause development is indispensible, it does demand a new approach suited for the times in whichwe nd ourselves.
This year, InterAction looks forwardto a new decade, and a new period of history. The worldand the NGO communityis on the rebound after a devastating nancial crisis, and the opportuni-ties for growth, advancement and success in alleviating poverty abound. The changes in technol-ogy, business, the public and politics have presented us with great possibility, and this Forum, the
theme of which is Moving at the Speed of Change, aims to look at how the NGO community andits partners can harness those changes in their programs, to better impact the lives of the poorest.
In that same speech, Secretary Clinton went on to note that, Networks of NGOs like InterAction bringtheir own resources, deep knowledge and commitment to humanitarian missions that complement ourwork in critical ways. This years forum takes on new importance and depth of meaning in light of theopportunities facing our community. As a valued partner in ending extreme poverty around the world,we warmly invite you to register as an exhibitor and sponsor at the 26 th InterAction Forum.
This year, we are excited to hold the forum for the rst time at the Walter E. Washington ConventionCenter, in downtown Washington, D.C. We hope that this brochure will provide the information youneed about the opportunity, and our Membership Team remains available to answer any questionsyou may have. In recent years, exhibitor spaces have sold out quickly, so we encourage you to regis-
ter early as space is limited.
We do hope to see you in June,
Samuel A. Worthington
