The structure of this Guide follows the structure of the program: You communicate with form•Z through: menu bar commands, tool palettes, window tools, floating pal- ettes, and dialog boxes. Tools and dialogs relating to advanced rendering and radiosity functions are avail- able only in form•Z RenderZone and form•Z RadioZity, respectively. There are two work environments: modeling and drafting. Each has its own tool bar. Options that affect a tool are displayed in the Tool Options palette as soon as the tool is selected. They are also displayed in dialogs that can be invoked directly from the tools by double clicking or Ctrl+Shift clicking on them. Dialogs are also invoked by menu items that end with three dots and can be optionally invoked from items that end with an asterisk, by Ctrl+Shift clicking on them. This Quick Reference Guide displays the Tool Options palettes for all the tools and the dialogs for the menu items and the window tools. All commands and operations of form•Z can be assigned a key shortcut using the Key Short- cuts* item (Edit menu). A set of default key command assignments is provided. Sizes the dialog for a 640 x 480 screen. Otherwise,it is sized to the dimension of the screen in use.
Ctrl+Shift clicking in a palette:Invokes the dialog for the respective palette.
Shift clicking to change the visibility of a layer in theLayers palette, lights in the Lights palette or object/group in the Objects palette:
Delays the redraw of the screen until the shift keyis released.
Ctrl+Shift clicking in the title bar to change attributesin the Layers, Lights, or Objects palette:
Turns attributes for all entries on, when at leastone of the attributes is off. Otherwise, it reversesthe status of each entry.

Sizes the dialog for a 640 x 480 screen. Otherwise,it is sized to the dimension of the screen in use.
Ctrl+Shift clicking in a palette:Invokes the dialog for the respective palette.
Shift clicking to change the visibility of a layer in theLayers palette, lights in the Lights palette or object/group in the Objects palette:
Delays the redraw of the screen until the shift keyis released.
Ctrl+Shift clicking in the title bar to change attributesin the Layers, Lights, or Objects palette:
Turns attributes for all entries on, when at leastone of the attributes is off. Otherwise, it reversesthe status of each entry.

About this Quick Reference Guide:
This Quick Reference Guide lists the tools, menus,dialogs, and palettes of form•Z , form•ZRenderZone, and form•Z RadioZity for Windowscomputers. The structure of this Guide follows thestructure of the program:
You communicate with form•Z through: menu barcommands, tool palettes, window tools, floating pal-ettes, and dialog boxes. Tools and dialogs relating toadvanced rendering and radiosity functions are avail-able only in form•Z RenderZone and form•ZRadioZity , respectively.
There are two work environments: modeling anddrafting. Each has its own tool bar.
Options that affect a tool are displayed in the ToolOptions palette as soon as the tool is selected. Theyare also displayed in dialogs that can be invokeddirectly from the tools by double clicking or Ctrl+Shiftclicking on them. Dialogs are also invoked by menuitems that end with three dots and can be optionallyinvoked from items that end with an asterisk, by Ctrl+Shiftclicking on them. This Quick Reference Guidedisplays the Tool Options palettes for all the tools andthe dialogs for the menu items and the window tools.
All commands and operations of form•Z can beassigned a key shortcut using the Key Short-cuts* item (Edit menu). A set of default keycommand assignments is provided. These arelisted on the last page.
