1. Welcome and introduction The Meeting started at 10.12 am with opening prayer. The Chair

welcomed all participants which was followed by self-introduction detailing name, organization and position.

- Not Applicable

2. Review of /Follow-up on action points from last meeting- WASH Sector to follow up CCCM/Shelter sector on the

issue of drainage gap in teacher’s village camp: The issue was discussed with CCCM/Shelter focal person. It was agreed that CCCM/Shelter partners to construct drainage in camps. Action points achieved.

- HPTWG to address the gap in teachers Village camp: The communication was not clear, the HPTWG will follow up on the action point. Action not achieved.

- Coordination scheduled for Thursday 4th April 2019: The meeting was held as scheduled. Action point achieved.

- UNOCHA (Chukwudi) to send the AAP/CE tool to the WASH sector Secretariat for review and possibly share with WASH partners: The secretariat could not follow up with UNOCHA on AAP/CE tool. Action point not yet achieved.

- Malteser International to provide update on its capacity to support the gaps in Gubio Camp: MI updated gave update on their response in Gubio camp. Action point achieved

- DRC to share the Gap of GSS camp in Bama:DRC was not present at the meeting. Action point not yet achieved

- IMC will follow up with SCI for possible support of hygiene kits in Bakassi camp: IMC received hygiene kits from UNICEF and will follow up SCI when the needs arise.

- HPTWG to follow up on the poor hygiene practices in teacher’s village camp

- The WASH Sector to follow up with UNOCHA on AAP/CE tool

- IRC will take over water trucking in Teachers Village camp effective from 27th March 2019: IRC took over water trucking. Action point achieved

- IOM to take over coordination of Farm Center effective from 26th March 2019: IOM have already took WASH coordination in Farm Center. This is achieved

- NCA to write letter to SMoWR on water management issue in Pulka: Mail was sent from NCA and is now with the Commissioner of SMoWR. This is achieved

- SMoWR to release borehole rehabilitation materials to WASH partners in Pulka: Rehabilitation is ongoing. This is achieved.

- The WASH Sector to communicate to UNDP on coordination of WASH response in Damboa: The sector secretariat could not communicate to UNDP because there was no clear communication on the action point. The sector will contact the UNDP Area Coordination (from the government) in charge of Damboa. Action not yet achieved.

- TDH to share report of assessment conducted in Rann: Report not shared. Action point not achieved.

- Partners who expressed interest should ensure that representatives are key technical staff who will implement course in practice: NRC organized training on technical design and economic analysis of solar water schemes was conducted with partners who earlier expressed their interest. This is achieved.

- Malteser International to assessment the needs in Doro camp and provide appropriate response: Malteser have assessed the needs in Doro camp and currently responding to the needs in coordination with other WASH partners present in the camp. This is achieved.

- WASH Sector secretariat to follow up UNDP Area Coordinator on coordination of activities with IMC being the lead of Damboa

- TDH will share the report of assessment conducted in Rann

- Sector Secretariat

3. Updates

Responses, gaps, challenge and way forward in key LGAs including camps: JERE: ZOA- There are over 700HH IDPS new arrivals in dire need of water in

Shuwari 8 (El-Miskin extension) and Gongulong. Partners with capacity are requested

- Partners with capacity to respond to water needs of IDPS new arrivals in Shuwari 8 and Gongulong

- The are needs of additional water points and rehabilitation of non-functional water points in Gongulong.

- Partners who have interest to respond to New IDPS arrivals in Shuwari 8 and Gongulong are advised to conduct assessment and coordinate with CRS and ZOA respectively.

MMC: Bakassi camp, Teachers Village, Stadium Camp and Farm Center: IMC and IOMBakassi: - There are too many ditches due to clay harvesting for block

making in the camp, this has created the issue of drainage. Drainage needs to addressed with support of the CCCM/shelter sector as the main responsible actor for camp drainage.

Teachers Village: IOM- There is not much gaps.

Stadium Camp: IOM- The response is adequate at the momentFarm Center: IOM- UNICEF will take over O&M of WASH facilities in farm center Gubio Camp:- Malteser International constructing additional water point

Monguno: SI- UNICEF ended water trucking to Ngurno, NRC and GGSS camp as

agreed in the initial three months response to IDPS new arrivals in Monguno

- There will be camp extension in Monguno, partners with capacity are requested to preposition WASH facilities for response.

- SI resumes supply of 50m3 water in GGSS camp.

Magumeri: CRS- There is need for water. Partners are requested to assess the

water needs in Magumeri

- IMC to follow up the draianage issues in Bakassi with CCCM/shelter partners in the camp

- UNICEF to takeover O&M of WASH facilities in Farm Center

- WASH Sector Secretariat to engage discussion with UNICEF on extension of water trucking

- WASH partners to preposition WASH facilities for response in the new camp extension in Monguno

- WASH partners with capacity to assess the water needs in Magumeri.

- Partners are requested to strengthen water quality test. Most partners are not conducting water quality test of their water points.

Dikwa: FHI360- There is improvement of water per capita from 13l/p/d to

22l/p/d- There is also improvement in the access to sanitation

facilities from 39 people per latrine to 30 people per latrine.

Pulka: NCA- Water Trucking ongoing by NCA in All camps with daily input

capacity of 90m3 where as ACF also truck 100m3, 80 in Camps and 20m3 in Host Community but their contract ended as at Tuesday 7th May 2019

- Hygiene promotion going activities ongoing in all camps and host Community by NCA, IOM, UNICEF, MI and CRUDAN

- Weekly Sanitation ongoing in all camps- Malteser International Plans to drill four new BHs in Pulka

(one in MSF Clinic, one in Camp E, one in Camp C Zone C and one in Camp C Zone A)

- Borehole Rehabilitations by NCA and MI still pending (waiting for final discussion between sector and Gwoza stakeholders)

- NCA and UNICEF plans to rehabilitate latrines and showers in all camps

- Issues regarding BH rehabilitation yet to be resolved- O&M of sanitation Facilities Left by OXFAM

Gwoza: IRC- IRC request to take over the maintenance of WASH facilities

in Gwoza in which UNICEF have consented - IRC also requested partners with capacity to install flow

meter in all their solar boreholes

Damboa: IMC- IMC currently conducting water trucking

Rann: TDH - As assessment was conducted on Tuesday 19 th March 2019 by

TDH, UNICEF and Care. The report will be shared by TDH - Latrines and water facilities were destroyed during the attack in

January 2019

- IRC to take over maintenance of UNICEF WASH facilities in Gwoza

- TDH to share report of WASH assessment conducted in Rann

Partners to strengthen WQA- LGAs to update on progress

- 37% of water facilities destroyed during the attack- Over 500 latrines need rehabilitation

WASH Technical Working Group: IOM- Review of Nigeria WASH Technical Standard Guidelines at final

stage.

HPTWG: CRS- The work working group is harmonizing response on solid waste

management- Harmonizing response on distribution of female hygiene kits- Training on U-report by UNICEF

AOB Cholera Preparedness: SI will harmonize the response plan

and share with all partners Partners are requested reports of all assessments conducted.
