Holiday Gift ExchangeA gift exchange is a great way to get people excited during an office holiday party. Below are a few different types that you can choose from.
Secret Santa Gift Exchange GameThe secret Santa gift exchange is always a favorite. Everyone takes turns drawing the name of a coworker a few weeks before the holiday party. Each person is the secret Santa for the person whose name they have drawn and must bring a gift for them to the holiday party. The exchange ends with the secret Santa disclosing their identity.
White Elephant Gift ExchangeThis game involves bringing an impractical gift to the party that will be exchanged. Have everyone wrap their gifts and place them in a pile when they arrive at the party. Number small pieces of paper with one number for each guest. Have each guest pick a number. Number one goes first and picks a gift from the pile. Number two can pick from the pile or take number one’s gift. This continues until everyone has a turn. A gift can only be stolen three times before it becomes safe and a person gets to keep it.
Gift grabThis gift exchange is easier to plan for. To do a gift grab, each employee brings in a wrapped gift that costs less than the amount set ahead of time. Each wrapped gift should get a number on a piece of paper taped to it. You then place corresponding numbers in a hat and have everyone draw a number to determine which gift they get.
