Add Fleet SO WP 10 a half-fuji spray lank of clean water with agil8lion running. After the Facet SO WP is thoroughly mixed. add PENTAGON DO. Mix thoroughly and then add the recommended amount of crop oil c:oncenttale (see Facet SO WP label) and remaining volume of waler. Constantly agitale during application.

SPRA YING INSTRUCTIONS

Spray drift can cause injury 10 sensitive crops. See the Facet SO WP label for list of sensitive crops; follow all recommendations 10 minimize drifl

AERIAL APPLICATIONS For aeri&l applications. apply therecommendedrale in 5 to 10 gallons of water per acre to ensure adequate coverage. See the Facet 50 WP label for aerial application instruCtions; follow all recommendations to minimize drifl. DO NOT apply during periods of gusty winds or when wind conditions favor drifting. It is recommended that a flagman or an automatic mechanical flagging unit on the aircraft be used to avoid overlapping and possible crop injury.

GROUND APPLICATIONS For ground equipment. apply the recommended n:1e in 10 to 20 gallons of water peracre toensure adequalecoverage. Use a properly calibraled low-pressure (20 to 40 psi) sprayer equipped with 8002 or larger size Tee-Jet or comparable nozzles to achieve uniform spray distribution and minimize drift. Keep the bypass line on or near the bottom (,( the tank to minimize foaming. Nozzle screens must be no finer than SO mesh. DO NOT apply PENTAGON DO during periods of gusty winds.

EARLY PO&TEMERGENCE APPLICATIONS

PENTAGON DO plus Facet SO WP lank mixture may be applied early poslemergence as follows:

I. Treatments may lit. applied to conventional. reduced or minimum tillage. and ~tiIl (stale seed-bed) rice. The seedbed should be ftrm and free of clods. The seedbed must be prepared 10 allow for complele soil coverage of the rice seed. The use of a planter under conditions which do not allow good soil coverage of the rice seed can result in reduced stand or stunting if PEJITf AGON DO contacts germinating rice seed.

spray coverage. no flood WIler should be on the field at timeofapplicllion. C\oddysoi1.standingwater (puddles) at the time of appIic:alion. or aackI in the lOillhat form after application may result in reduced weed control.

3. Uniformly apply the recommended PENTAGON DO plus Facet SO WP treatment after rice emergence (spiking) and at 1I~ correct timing for Facet SO wp. by aircraft or ground equipment according 10 spraying instruCtions above. Refer 10 timing instructions and illustrations in the Facet SO WP label. THE GROWER SHOULD INSPECT FIELDS FREQUENTI. Y TO CHECK GROWTH OF SPRANGLETOP. OTHER LABELED WEEDS AND RICE TO DETERMINE PROPER APPLICATION TIMING.

4. For maximum direct contact activity of Facet SO wp. delay application of the tank mix if there is a chance of rain within 6 to 8 hours.

S. Because the residual activity of the PENTAGON DO plus Facet 50 WP allows for delayed flooding. this trCalJnent may be applied if rice is too small to maintain a flood on the field f/)l' weed conlrOl. However. proper water management practices must be followed for normal rice growth and activity of PENTAGON DO and Facet 50 WP. Refer 10 the Water Management section of the Facet SO WP label. Flooding should not be delayed if weeds begin to develop after application.

Since the residual activity of PENTAGON DO and Facet 50 WP is activated by moisture. the tank mix is most effective in controUing emerging weeds when ariequate rainfall or irrigation (flush) is receive(\ within 3-7 days afler application or when new grass/weeds have emerged and are less than orJC inch taU.

WEEDS CONTROLLED

DELAYED (LATE) PREEMERGENCE APPLICATIONS

PENTAGON 00 alone or in labeled tank mixture may be applied delayed (late) preemergence after planting rice as follows:

1. Treatments nay be applied to conventiona1, reduced or minimum tillage, and no-till (stale seed-bed) rice. The seedbed should be firm and free of cloos. and must be prepared 10 allow for good seed coverage. Plant rice with a grain drill ata depth that provides complete soil coverage of the rice seed. The use of a planter under conditions which do not allow good soil coverage of the rice seed can result in reduced stand or stunting ii PENTAGON 00 contacts germinating rice seed.

2. Apply PENTAGON 00 alone or in tank mixture 10 levees after the levees are palled and planted. Exposed seeds that cane in contact with PENTAGON 00 or Facet 50 WP may be injured.

3. Uniformly apply the rccommended PENTAGON 00 plus glyphosalC after rice planting (as described below) and before rice emergence (spiking), by aircraft or ground equipmelll according 10 spraying instructions above. DO NOT apply PENTAGON DO and Ihcn flush for germination. DO NOT apply to ~ riec. Stress factors include cold or hot temperaawe extremeS, excusive moisture or drought, problem soils, poor ftdd drainage or dtep W81erafle.' lllJPliaIion. DO NOT IIJPly arly ~,encc nor prtoplant inccr'poraIed IS seveR rice injury is possible.

S. Apply when soil surface is dry. moist, or wet without Slllllding water. Since soil and weeds (only for gIypluiSSIe must be oomplete1y exposed to spray coverage, 110 raood water should be on the ftdd at time of application. Cloddy soil. Slallding w8lC:r (puddles) at the time of application. or cracks in the soillhat form after IIJPlicIItion may result in reduced weed cunuol.

6. Apply after the rice seed has absorbed waler and germiDaled and after the ~I has been previously sealed over the seed by at least 1 inch minfall or by irrigation (f1us1:). If the soil has not been sealed by rain or flush, apply when 80 percent of germinaled seeds have a primaJ)' root (radical) or shoot at least 1/2 inch long.

If applied to soil prior 10 these conditions. or 10 cracked soil. then stand reduction or stunting of rice may occur; Facet 50 WP may cause buggywhipping. Under some conditions, use of gibberellic acid-trea!ed seed, HRA VY RAINFALL AFI'ER APPUCA TION. or FLUSHING AFI'ER APPLICATION may result in herbicide injwy to rice. Rice can overcome moderate injury with aJIPIIlpriate cultlll1ll prac'ices.

7. For maximum dircctcontactactivity ofglyphosate. delay application of the tank mix if lhere is a chance of rain within 6 or 8 hours.

8. Because the residual activity of PENT AGON DO alone or the PENTAGON DO plus Facet SO WP tank mix allows for delayed flooding. this treatment may be applied if rice is too small to maintain a f\ood on the field for weed control. However. proper water management practices must be followed for normal rice growth and activity of PENTAGON DO IJId Facet SO WP. Referto the Will« Management section of the Facet SO WP label. FJooding shouJd not be delayed if weeds besin 10 develop after application.

Since the residualacuvity of PENTAGON DO and Facet SO WP is activated by moisture. PENTAGON DO alone is most elTeclive in controlling emerging weec!s when IIIcquaU> rainfall or inIption (flush) is received within 7 days after application. The PENTAGON DO plus Facet SO WP IIIIk mix is most effcclive in conuoUing emerginI weeds when IdeqNte 1linJ'a11 or irription (flush) is received wi:hin 3-7 days after app1ication or wh=n new ~ have emerged IJId are less than one inch \aiL
