Introducing the 2015
2nd & 3rd grade author/illustrator
LYNNE JONELL
About Lynne...
Born and raised in Minnesota with 2 sisters/1 brother.
Daughter of a pastor - was supposed to be good.
Daughter of a piano teacher - was supposed to practice.
Rarely managed to live up to both these expectations at the same time.
A few fun stories about Lynne...
And how she decide to be an authorHer parents found her riding her tricycle on the freeway – well
it was more like the entrance ramp of a busy highway.
People thought she was always getting lost when she was little, but really she was on adventures... Then when she finally learned to spell, she decided to write adventures.
Shared a bed with her little sister. One night she decided to tell a story to get her to stop bothering her. Instead of falling asleep, her sister wanted another and another….
Her grandpa liked to tell her stories while her grandma brought them chocolate chip cookies…thought this could be a rewarding career (and she likes chocolate chip cookies)!
Loved loved loved reading books, going on adventures through reading, so she decided she wanted to write adventures for kids!
Random stuff about Lynne...
Tall
Likes to sail
Gets very enthusiastic about odd things for short periods of time.
Has patient and loving husband and two wonderful sons who are loving (but not so patient).
Lives and writes in Plymouth, Minnesota in a house on a hill.
A quote from Lynne...
“I like to look out my window into the branches of trees, and down at the neighborhood children who come to slide in the winter. This is good for inspiration and also lets me pretend I am thinking hard, when half the time I am just staring out the window and wondering how soon I can decently give up and go eat some chocolate.”
