• Hinduism is a collection of religious beliefs that developed slowly over a long period of time.

• Hindus see religion as a way to liberate the soul from the mistakes and disappointments of everyday existence.

• A series of writings called the Upanishads explain how a person can achieve moksha – liberation from desires and suffering; a perfect understanding of all things.

• Within the Upanishads there is the atman, the individual soul and Brahman, the world soul that contains and unites all atman's.

• Brahman, the eternal being that created and preserves the world, everything in world is an aspect of Brahman.

• A soul’s Karma – good or bad deeds, follows you from one life to another and influences which caste one is born into, health, wealth etc.

• dharma-set of spiritual duties/obligations based upon class and station in life. Fulfilling dharma creates good karma
