GENERAL DESCRIPTIONThe ANTENNA SUPPORTING STRUCTURES are made oftubular or open (L or C) sections, protected by hot-dipgalvanizing.They are available, to suit different requirements:• pipe mounts with tripod base: can be secured to the roof by
means of anchoring systems or can be bolted to a self-stabilising frame.
• self-stabilising frame: in versions for one or several pipemounts, for fixing to flat roofs with the interposition of arubber mat.
• single pipe mounts: may be fixed on walls of terraces or partsof existing buildings.
The ANTENNA MOUNTS are designed to support differenttypes of radiant systems, to provide a wide variety of solutions:• pipe bracket for panel antennas• universal bracket for dish antennas• pipe mount for 3 double antenna sectors.
The WINDBRACES are designed to increase the stiffness ofantenna supporting structures. They incorporate a telescopic adjustment system so that theirlength can be adapted to the size of the structure.
The PIPE BRACKETS & ATTACHMENTS are a family ofaccessories suitable for fixing windbraces, pipe mounts andantenna supporting structures.
The FIXING FITTINGS FOR CABLES & FEEDERS are used to fixcoaxial cables down the side of antenna supporting structures. All these types of fittings allow adjustable positioning down theside of the structure to adapt to the required cable routing.
The WATERPROOF ENTRIES are modular components inaluminium alloy, suitable for wall and roof installation.
The GROUNDING KITS are used for direct grounding of R.F.cables and waveguides.
The AIRCRAFT WARNING LIGHT SYSTEMS both conform toICAO or FAA standards. For day-time warning, the structure can be painted red andwhite. The night-time warning system comprises a signalling unit withsteady or flashing beacons.
The HORIZONTAL CABLE BRIDGES are designed to provideoverhead support for feeders and service cables between therooftop and the radio station. They are available in variouslengths and can be fitted with ice protection covers.
The CLIMBING LADDERS with ‘T’ rail safety climb system(art. URPI), is secured to the antenna supporting structure bymeans of galvanized steel brackets (art. SLTC ..../SLFF ....). To prevent access by unauthorized personnel, the bottomsection of the ladder can be fitted with an anti-climb device(art. AUPI 3050).
TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONSDESIGN AND STANDARDS Design follows the most modern measuring criteria, with the aidof advanced software systems.Structural analysis, static and dynamic tests conform to themost recent United States (EIA 222) and Italian (CNR-UNI)Standards. Tests to other International Standards (EURONORM,BS, NV65, etc) can be carried out on request.
WIND LOADSThese are in accordance with the requirements of EIA Standards222: basic wind speed equivalent to 100 mph (unless otherwiseindicated on the specification sheets for each individualproduct). The structures are also tested in accordance with ItalianStandards, for wind zones from 1 to 3, roughness class D,category II and Ct = 1.0.
TWIST & SWAY The equivalent surface areas of the antennas and maximumdeflection values are shown in the specification sheets for eachindividual product.
MATERIALSThe materials comply with the requirements of EuropeanStandards (Euronorm).STEEL:Structural parts: S235JR (Fe 360 B) EN 10025Nuts and bolts: type 6.8. EN 20898-1ALUMINIUM:Structural parts: alloy P-Al Mg Si 6060 UNI 9006Nuts and bolts: type 6.8. EN 20898-1 or stainless
steel class A2-70
The various types of rooftop structures offered by calzavara, make it possible to satisfy widely varying needs to suit
different project requirements. All parts of the structure, including fixing hardware, are in hot-dip galvanized steel
GALVANIZATIONAll steel materials are protected by hot-dip galvanizing inaccordance with ASTM A123 and Euronorm EN 1461Standards.
