Hope Powell
Hope Powell is an English former interna�onal footballer who was
the coach of the England women's na�onal football
team and the Great Britain women's Olympic football team un�l
August 2013. The English Football Associa�on (FA) ap-
pointed Powell as England's first-ever full-�me na�onal coach in
1998. She led the team at the 2001, 2005, 2009 and 2013
edi�ons of the UEFA Women's Championship. A3er failing to
qualify in 2003, she guided England to the quarter-finals of
the FIFA
Dr. Colin Higgs
Dr. Colin Higgs is Professor Emeritus in the School of Human
Kine�cs at Memorial University of Newfoundland, and mem-
ber of the Canadian Sport for Life Leadership Team. Dr. Higgs
works extensively in developing countries and has published
and presented widely on Long-Term Athlete Development, sport bio
mechanics, and social development through sport.
His research interests include bio mechanics of sport for
persons with a disability, theory of classifica�on systems in
disa-
bility sport and the use of sport as a tool in interna�onal
development.
Vanessa Mar�nez Lagunas
Vanessa Mar>nez Lagunas, who is a FIFA Women’s Soccer
Instructor, UEFA/DFB Pro License and NSCAA Premier Diploma
holder and former player of the Mexico WNT has previously
confirmed her aBendance. She has coaching experience at
several levels of the game in Germany, Mexico and the United
States in addi�on to being a featured clinician at the
2012/13 NSCAA Conven�ons. She is the current Head Coach at the
University of Manitoba and is only one of 30 Female
Pro License holders in the world
Joe Fletcher
In 2007, Joe was placed on the FIFA list of Interna�onal
Officials. Joe’s refereeing experiences include the FIFA Under
20
tournament in Colombia, the 2012 Olympics Games in London, the
2013 FIFA Club World Cup in Morocco, the 2014 FIFA
World Cup in Brazil, as well as numerous other matches around
North/Central America and the Caribbean.
Carol Anne Chenard
Carol Anne Chenard has been an interna�onal referee since 2006.
She was one of just 16 referees selected for the 2011
FIFA Women's World Cup. In addi�on, Chenard is one of only three
Canadian women to be on the list of FIFA interna�on-
al referees for women's soccer matches. She received her
interna�onal referee cer�fica�on in 2006 and has featured in
numerous matches across North America and the world.
John O'Sullivan
John O'Sullivan is the author of the interna�onal bestseller
Changing the Game: The Parent's Guide to Raising Happy, High
-Performing Athletes and Giving Youth Sports Back to our Kids,
as well as the Founder of the Changing the Game Projects.
He speaks around the world to youth organiza�ons and schools
about crea�ng a player-centred environment in youth
sports and has presented for organiza�ons such as TEDx Bend
Oregon, the Na�onal Soccer Coaches Associa�ons of Ameri-
ca and the IMG Academy. He holds a USSF A License, a USYS
Na�onal Youth License and an NSCAA Advanced Na�onal
Diploma.
Luis Fernando Paes De Barros
Luis Fernando Paes De Barros is a youth coach at Brazilian club
Santos FC. He joined the club in 2013 from A.D.Sao Caeta-
no, where he was the club’s head Strength and condi�oning coach.
De Barros, who has a master’s in Physical Educa�on
from the University of Sao Paulo, has also previously worked in
Futsal with roles as head coach at clubs in Brazil, Japan and
Qatar. He has also lectured on football and Futsal courses, as
well as sports science programs in many universi�es around
the world. He recently presented at the English FA Coaching
Conference in December 2014.
