Anne FrankAnne Frank was a Jewish girl living in Amsterdam, Holland, during world war 2. On her 13th Birthday, she received a present of a red-and-white tartan diary. She named her diary Kitty. On 6 July 1942, Anne and her family had to go into hiding from the Germans for fear of being sent to a concentration camp. During her two years in hiding, Anne wrote in her diary every day. Eventually, she and her family were found by the Germans. Anne later died in a concentration camp.
