We were new graduates from Oklahoma Chrisan and were planning on doing a two year missions apprenceship with an established mission team. By the me I arrived in August the team had dissolved and we were leſt with lile direcon. We had come into contact with a man named Trevor Williams at a retreat. He and another family had moved to Northampton, England to work with and grow a newly planted congregaon which was in the process of pung up a new church building. Trevor saw construcon labor. We saw a renewed sense of mission and purpose. In the spring of 1984 we finished the building, then spent the rest of our me building a youth program. Trevor and Pauline had three young sons, and we spent a good bit of me in their home. It was during this me that I first met Simon – I think he was six years old. In 1990 Rebecca and I moved to Nongham, England to work with Bob and Jean Eckman to establish a congregaon. We were there unl 1995. In the meanme, Simon grew up and during a “pulpit swap” which Trevor did with Jeff Walling, who was in California at the me, he and Pam met, and were later married. Simon finished the two year course of work at the Brish Bible School in Corby, England. He and Pam then moved to Nongham to work with the church there and focus on the local youth. From my perspecve, this has been a wonderful blessing to the work there. The congregaon in Nongham is one of the healthiest in the United Kingdom and I believe it has a great future ahead of it. Rebecca and I have a special relaonship with the church in Nongham and with Simon and Pam and their girls. Simon is currently enrolled in a degree program at Derby University and should finish in two years. I know that you will enjoy meeng him and Pam and their children Jessica and Charloe. I look forward to his lesson this morning and know that it will be a blessing to us all. Mark 16:15 He said to them “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation.”

In the winter of 1984, my friend, Mike Mayhugh and I were struggling in Cardiff, Wales. We were new graduates from
Oklahoma Christian and were planning on doing a two year missions apprenticeship with an established mission team.
By the time I arrived in August the team had dissolved and we were left with little direction.
We had come into contact with a man named Trevor Williams at a retreat. He and another family had moved to
Northampton, England to work with and grow a newly planted congregation which was in the process of putting up a
new church building.
Trevor saw construction labor. We saw a renewed sense of mission and purpose. In the spring of 1984 we finished the
building, then spent the rest of our time building a youth program. Trevor and Pauline had three young sons, and we
spent a good bit of time in their home. It was during this time that I first met Simon – I think he was six years old. In
1990 Rebecca and I moved to Nottingham, England to work with Bob and Jean Eckman to establish a congregation. We
were there until 1995.
In the meantime, Simon grew up and during a “pulpit swap” which Trevor did with Jeff Walling, who was in California
at the time, he and Pam met, and were later married. Simon finished the two year course of work at the British Bible
School in Corby, England. He and Pam then moved to Nottingham to work with the church there and focus on the local
youth. From my perspective, this has been a wonderful blessing to the work there. The congregation in Nottingham is
one of the healthiest in the United Kingdom and I believe it has a great future ahead of it. Rebecca and I have a special
relationship with the church in Nottingham and with Simon and Pam and their girls.
Simon is currently enrolled in a degree program at Derby University and should finish in two years. I know that you will
enjoy meeting him and Pam and their children Jessica and Charlotte. I look forward to his lesson this morning and
know that it will be a blessing to us all.
