HOW TO WORK THE FAIR

1. Make a list of the employers you would most like to speak with. 2. Read those employers’ profiles in this program (and read some of their literature or look at their websites)

– write down any questions you would like to ask. 3. Rehearse an introduction that includes your name, degree and major, your goals (e.g. “a job teaching in a

3rd, 4th, or 5th grade classroom in a progressive charter school”), and your strengths as a teacher or counselor or simply as a person who enjoys working with children or adults.

4. Have conversations! 5. Get business cards or names, titles and email addresses, follow up with thank you notes. NEED ASSISTANCE or ADVICE? Come speak with us at the Career Center Help Table.

As one of the largest service providers in Massachusetts, Advocates offers quality human service, senior support

services, brain injury services and healthcare alternatives. Every day hundreds of individuals and families affected by

psychiatric illness, chemical dependency, developmental disabilities, Traumatic or Acquired Brain Injury (TBI/ ABI),

or other life challenges rely on Advocates for professional assessment and intervention.

Blueprint Schools Network (Blueprint) is a 501(c)(3) national non-profit organization that partners with districts

and schools to promote educational equity and improve life outcomes for students. We are currently working with

public school districts in Denver (CO), Boston (MA), Salem (MA) and St. Louis (MO) to plan and implement

rigorous school improvement initiatives using a framework of comprehensive reform strategies in more than 70

schools, serving over 13,000 students.

Cristo Rey Boston is a member of the Cristo Rey Network, a thriving association of 26 high schools that utilize an

innovative work-study program to provide affordable, Catholic education to more than 8,000 students nationwide.

We exclusively serve families with limited financial resources. Every one of our students works five full days per

month at more than 125 companies in Greater Boston to pay for most of the cost of their education and to gain

Since 1974 poor and homeless women have found an oasis of hope and nourishment at Rosie’s Place. The mission of

Rosie’s Place is to help women maintain their dignity, seek opportunity and find security in their lives.

Many of the women we assist are working and in housing but simply can’t make ends meet. Some are newly
