Income inequality is a crical factor that prevents access to food. This is why
raising the wage to a living wage is a key component of FOCUS advocacy. This
past week FOCUS co-signed a leer from a state-wide group of faith communi-
es in support of raising the minimum wage and giving local authority to raise
the wage further. See a sample of the leer we signed onto here.
FOCUS advocates also parcipated in a statewide rally, “Capitol Takeover” onTuesday June 17th to push for a raise, indexing, local authority to raise the wage,
and protecon against wage the from employers.
