the IEEE1588 requirements for time-synced communication between machinery in an automated factory setting. Other features include core clock speeds up to 144MHz, support up to 1MB high-speed flash memory, and up to 128KB RAM. Available device configurations support 1-ch or 2-ch Ethernet MAC, USB2.0 host/slave functions, CAN, and up to 3-ch inverter control timers. The MB9Bx10 High-Performance series MCUs are available in LQFP176, LQFP144, and BGA192 packages.
With multiple communication interfaces, large memory and high performance, the High-Performance series MCUs are ideal for networked applications including industrial equipment, inverters, servo motors, and programmable controllers for home appliances, office equipment, and automated factory equipment.
Ultra-Low-Leak MB9A130 SeriesThe new MB9A130 Ultra-Low-Leak series MCUs are optimized for battery-powered applications and low-cost products. Incorporating the low-power ARM Cortex-M3 CPU core with power-gating technologies developed by Fujitsu, the devices offer low leakage and support for voltage ranges from 1.8V to 5.5V.
Six other intelligent power-saving features — sleep mode, timer mode, RTC mode, stop mode, deep-standby RTC mode, and deep-standby stop mode — offer extended battery life and low power performance. When using RTC mode under date and time management, the controller draws an extremely low 1.6 microAmps of power. In deep-standby RTC mode, where power to the flash memory is shut off, the MCU draws just 1.2 microAmps, among the lowest power requirements in the industry.
Controllers in the MB9A130 Ultra-Low-Leak series can operate up to 20MHz core clock and are available with 128KB to 64KB of flash memory, up to 8KB RAM, and in 64-pin to 48-pin packages. The devices offer an excellent design option for medical equipment, small appliances, home electronics products, utility meters, and digital entertainment systems. The series roadmap plans for support of LCDC integrated devices with large direct-drive-segmented LCD displays.
