    Dr. Oscar Chan - Dr. Chan is the Director of the Facility Development Centre of the Macau Management Association as well as

    the Director of the Macau Institute of Management which is a Higher Education Institute. He has a Doctor of Philosophy degree

    in Business Management; he is a Certified Facility Manager and Fellow, Professional Facility Manager of the Hong Kong Institute

    of Facility Management Association. He is the China representative of the International Facility Management Association (IFMA)

    and has successfully assisted IFMA's professional development programs.

    The real estate boom in India has resulted

    in the facility management sector

    experiencing rapid growth. Companies engaged in the business

    are seeing their revenues double every year for the last few years.

    The scope of Facility Management extends from residential

    complexes to corporate headquarters and different built

    environment, from leisure centers to institutions such as hospitals,

    airports, seaports etc. The all pervasive gamut of services that

    need to be operationalized effectively for efficient management offacilities forms the core of Facility Management.

    Facility Management is a contemporary management discipline

    having over 25 years of history worldwide that integrates both art

    and science and adopts the principles and techniques of business

    administration, architecture, engineering and social science.

    Facility management covers the long term strategic planning as

    well as daily operations to enable optimization of resources in

    support of an entity's core activities leading to the successful

    achievement of its vision and mission.

    However, the discipline is much broader than being practiced in

    the country. In fact, compared to the global standards and

    practices, the Indian FM industry is still far behind.

    AIMA in collaboration with MMA (Macau Management

    Association) is presenting for the first time in the country, Global

    Facility Management Guru Dr. Chan from Macau to demystify

    All India Management Association - In 1957, the All India Management Association (AIMA) was created as an apex body with active support of the

    Government of India. AIMA was intended as a cause group a body to pool management thoughts in the country, a forum to develop a national managerial

    ethos, an organisation to facilitate the furtherance of the profession and its contribution to the society. After five decades of service, AIMA is recognised

    for its national stature, upheld by a broad base of 60 Local Management Associations including two Cooperating Associations abroad, over 30,000

    professionals as Individual Members and over 3,000 corporates as Institutional Members. AIMA activities include Distance Management Education,

    Management Development Programmes, National Events, Competitions, Research, Publications & Testing services.

    AIMA is represented on a number of policy making committees of the Government of India, the Indian Institutes of Management, All India Council for

    Technical Education (AICTE) and some other professional bodies. It currently holds the Presidency of Asian Association of Management Organisations

    (AAMO), which is the Asia-Pacific regional body of the World Management Council. AIMA also maintains close links with a number of overseas

    professional bodies and institutions like the American Management Association, Chartered Management Institute (UK), all the National ManagementOrganisations in the Asia Pacific Region and St Gallen University of Switzerland etc.

    AIMA has recently entered into a strategic Memorandum of Cooperation (MoC) with China International Institute of Multinational Corporations

    (CIIMC) where both the associations have agreed to work together to conduct and popularize advanced management experiences and technology of

    multinational corporations, facilitate enterprises innovation of system, management and technology in order to increase the market competitiveness of

    business entities in both countries.

    Macau Management Association - Following the works evolved by a group of 33 personalities connected to different fields of management in

    Macau, the Macau Management Association (M.M.A.) was formally constituted in October 1984. The Association is a non-profit making

    organization and has as its main objectives the promotion of the principles and practices of modern management . Since its establishment, M.M.A.

    has been serving the Macau business community by organizing activ ities and training programs in all aspects of management. (www.mma.org.mo)

    Calcutta Management Association - Established in 1957, Calcutta Management Association(CMA) is one of the oldest Management Associations in

    the country. The CMA undertakes pioneering and meaningful work on a wide spectrum of Management Development Activities. With its vision to
