In 2018, with the Normalizaon of Excellence as its theme, Safety Standdown challenged aendees to raise their game in terms of professionalism. The experts provided the informaon and the tools to create a culture within flight departments where the norm is a job exceponally well done, and gold medal performances are a daily occurrence. Seminars included topics such as “Keep it Simple Leadership for Higher Safety Standards”, “Proacve Fague Risk Management”, “Normalizing Excellence through Mentoring & Leadership” and “Standardizaon - Why Bother?”. The event culminated with key note speaker Dick Rutan presenng his first hand account of his Voyager aircraſt around the world non-stop adventure. Chris Deslongchamp Promoted to Vice PresidentOmni Air Transport is pleased to announce that Chris Deslongchamp has been promoted to Vice President. Chris joined Omni in November 2017 as Director of Safety & Security and is a 24-year veteran of the aviation industry. In addition to overseeing the growth of the Human Resources, IT and Marketing departments, Chris will continue directing the company safety and security efforts.
Aviation management and organizational leadership are what Chris knows best. He has a passion for aviation safety and security as evident in his panoply of certifications — including FAA Safety Management System Instructor, FAA Licensed Flight Dispatcher and Master Navigator (3500 hrs), along with specialized training received in FAA Accident Investigation and NTSB-Accident Investigation — distinguish him as a leader and expert when it comes to both domestic and international aviation. At home, Chris is a dedicated husband and father, die-hard Philadelphia Eagles and St. Louis Cardinals fan, as well as an enthusiastic woodworker and brewmaster.
Omni Air Transport will launch a new website in January 2019. The new site will provide an improved user experience through mobile optimization, content organization and interactive features. We are proud to offer our clients more detailed information about our fleet, company history, team and SkyPass membership program.
