FLOWERS, WELLS LEAD SEMINOLE OUTFIELD » Outfielders J.C. Flowers and Steven Wells have
stood out for the FSU offense to start the 2018 season.
» Wells, a senior from Key West, ranks eighth nationally with a .605 on-base percentage. He is also hitting .333, second-best on the team. His 16 walks are second on the team and sixth nationally.
» Flowers, a sophomore from Orange Park, is hit-ting .324 with a .480 OBP after seven walks and five HBP. Flowers has started 80 of 82 career games in centerfield.
» Flowers leads FSU with five doubles this year, already surpassing his total as a freshman (4 in 213 AB).
RALEIGH DURABLE BEHIND THE PLATE » Catcher Cal Raleigh has started 137 consecutive
games, with 135 of those coming at catcher. Raleigh started all 69 games behind the plate in 2017.
» The streak ran up to 129 before starting the third game of the UNC Asheville series this year as the designated hitter.

» Mendoza entered FSU as the highest-rated play-er to enter college in 2017, and when healthy, he delivered. He played first base in 2017 but has flipped to the other side of the diamond for 2018.
» Mendoza started the final 43 games of 2017, hitting .270 with 10 home runs and 33 RBI. Mendoza hit half his home runs in the ACC and NCAA Tournaments, including two in the ACC Championship Game and two in the College World Series (one each against Cal State Fuller-ton and LSU).

LUECK LOOKS TO JOIN ELITE COMPANY » Junior outfielder Jackson Lueck has led the Sem-
inoles in batting average each of his first two seasons, hitting .379 in 2016 and .318 in 2017.
» Lueck is attempting to become just the third Seminole to win three-consecutive team batting titles, following Doug Mientkiewicz (1993-95) and DJ Stewart (2013-15).
» Despite missing 13 games in 2017, Lueck im-proved his doubles (10-11) and home runs (4-9) from his freshman season. Lueck saves his best baseball for the postseason, hitting a combined .467 in eight ACC tournament games (2017 MVP) and .306 in the NCAA tournament in 16 games, including .342 in 2017.
» In 2018, three of Lueck’s 11 hits have gone for extra bases, including a home run against Troy on February 23.
KARP DOMINATES AT JACKSONVILLE » Junior pitcher Andrew Karp was lights out at
Jacksonville, allowing four hits and no walks and striking out a career-high 12 batters in FSU’s 4-0 win.
