He addressed the student participants and highlighted the importance of entrepreneurship
in context of present day scenario.
Prof. Dr. Atul Desai- Co-ordinator, SVNIT briefed the gathering about the motive
behind conducting such awareness camp.

First & Second session : Communication skills for better results : Dr. Vaishali
Mungurwadi – Principal – SCET.
She highlighted the significance of communication in entrepreneurial activities. Topics
covered in her talk are: What is Communication and its importance; forms of
communication; types of communication; barriers of communication; how to improve
communication; technical & professional communication.
Third Session: Dr. Jitendra R. Ajmeri –Convener: Entrepreneur Development Cell –
SCET
He talked about Historical background-Indian values vis-a-vis Entrepreneur ship and the
present scenario. He created awareness amongst students about the need for
entrepreneurial activity and its relevance to sustainable growth and shared the vision of our
Honorable Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi about Make in India; Smart Cities, Digital
India programme. He emphasized that it is, undoubtedly, the best time to become an
entrepreneur in India.
Topics covered in his talk: economic scenario; contribution of entrepreneurial activities in
country’s GDP; job scenario in country.
Day 2: Friday, 16
th December 2016
First two sessions: Shri Nishit Jariwala – Leader & Editor in chief : Buddy bits
He motivated students to take up entrepreneurial activities & shared his success story.
Topics covered in his talk: Financial aspects of SSI unit including salient features of a project
report; Creativity and business- the man behind the venture -the behavioural scientist's
approach.
Last two sessions: Shri Amit Mehta: Founder: Navkar Software
He threw light on the challenges faced by an entrepreneur & shared his success story with the
students, motivated them for developing vision and to think out of box to take up entrepreneurial
activities.
Day 3: Saturday, 17th
December 2016
First session: Dr. Jitendra R. Ajmeri: Profile of an entrepreneur
He touched the topic of Profile of an entrepreneur to have better understanding amongst students
to identify the need of qualities which they can acquire during their study to achieve goal. He
made an intimate look into the lives of India’s new-age entrepreneurs, and explained how they
are redefining the way business is done.
Topics covered in his talk: The great disrupters; Certain characteristics that most successful
entrepreneurs possess;
Second session : Dr. Jitendra R. Ajmeri : Start up Spirit
He cited examples of Indi’s top funded start ups and emphasized that all entrepreneurial ventures
entail innovation that in turn provides value to society.
Topics covered in talk : Five indicators that demonstrate that the entrepreneurial spirit is alive
and thriving in someone; social entrepreneurship; sustainable entrepreneurship; sharing
entrepreneurs; appreneur; vlogger entrepreneurs; criteria used by venture capitalists for
evaluating entrepreneurs’ business proposals; crowdfunding; ecotourism; women entrepreurs; various govt. policies to promote entrepreneurship in country.
Third Session: Dr. Rekha Mistry: Faculty, Social Science, VNSGU, Surat.
She discussed various aspects and importance of social entrepreneurship and encouraged girl
students to take up the challenge and contribute in the social upliftment of country.
Last session: Mrs. Ritu Shah – Founder: Kala Varso
She shared her views about Indian tradition and handicrafts; success story of Kala Varso; the
challenges she had faced in creating awareness amongst people of Surat especially about
traditional articulate and put thrust on bridging the gap between the Indian traditional craft
making and the education for the betterment of the rural India and perseverance of ancient art in
the country.
Feedback session:
Students gave an overwhelming response to the Entrepreneurship Awareness Camp and
appreciated the efforts put in by the entire team of Entrepreneur Development Cell for organizing
it and thanked the speakers for creating awareness about the topic and are very keen to attend
such programme in future.
Gaurav Rathi: Textile Technology- 3rd
Semester- The experience sharing quality of the
speakers will be very helpful in my upcoming time.
Vivek Chaugule: IT – 4TH year- understood startup facts & myths, social entrepreneurship was
very well explained & understood.
Ranu Pratap Singh – Computer Engineering – 1st year- the ideas, the experience shared by
the speakers proved beneficial, & my interest towards it got increase.
