Flight Instructor Certificate National Flight Centre Pilot Academy, Weston Airport Leixlip Dublin W23XHF8 Ireland CALL: +353 (0) 1 628 2930 EMAIL: [email protected] VISIT: www.nfc.ie facebook.com/nationalflightcentre @nfcops @nationalflightcentre Aim Pre-Requisites The Flight Instructor Course comprises: 30 hours of Flight Training 25 hours of Teaching & Learning Module 100 hours of Instructor Theoretical Knowledge Training including practice Pre & Post Flight Briefings About the Course (1) hold at least a CPL(A); or (2) hold at least a PPL(A) and have: (i) met the requirements for CPL theoretical knowledge and (ii) completed at least 200 hours of flight time on aeroplanes or TMGs, of which 150 hours as PIC; (3) have completed at least 30 hours on single-engine piston powered aeroplanes of which at least 5 hours shall have been completed during the 6 months preceding the pre-entry flight test and hold a current SEP rating; (4) have completed a VFR cross-country flight as PIC, including a flight of at least 300 NM in the course of which full stop landings at 2 different aerodromes shall be made; (5) have received at least 10 hours Instrument Flight Instruction; (6) have completed at least 20 hours of VFR Cross Country Flight. NFC Instructors who conduct the FI Course are highly experienced Flight Instructors who have amassed thousands of hours flying experience with airlines and within the Flight Training industry. This wealth of experience and knowledge is passed on to Student Flight Instructors to ensure they reach the highest standards and are adequately prepared to teach Student Pilots.
