Once in the CTO Home Page, click the required brand


How to Create Your Configuration Continue to click the product description hyperlinks or click Details to select the

product series. Click Configure to proceed to configure a particular model


How to Create Your Configuration Select a value for each component marked with a red asterisk *

Once the Config Status shows as ‘valid’, click Submit Config


How to Create Your Configuration Once the configuration is submitted successfully a Ref ID will be generated. Click OK

• Click Add to Cart to create a CTO Cart Item in the Lenovo Bid Portal

• Once the configured CTO item is added to the cart, click Return to Bid to navigate back to the Bid Portal or click Back to start another configuration and Ref ID

CTO Shopping Cart In the CTO Cart Item add Requested Unit Price and Requested Quantity and follow actions 1 to 4 as required

Suggest Extras: see the top 5 recommended options

Add Other options: Add additional options from the product search

Add CTO: Go to CTO tool to configure more CTO products and add back to the CTO cart

Refresh CTO Cart: Refresh ref id status(valid/invalid) and Estimated Reseller Unit Price

CTO Shopping Cart – Add Top 5 Recommendation After clicking Suggest Extras, choose a part number from the recommended Option/Service/Visual list

Select recommended items, then click Add Suggestions to cart

Bid Request Generation Click Create Bid Request – to begin CTO Bid request

Ref ID status will be checked, if invalid, an error message will be displayed

Note: CTO Bid Items are eligible for ordering only, and are not eligible to follow the backend claims process

Bid Request Generation Next, the system will show the Lenovo Special Bid Addendum

Partners must select Accept to continue with the CTO Bid Request

Click this button to create

CTO bid request




Enter End Customer Name (if known) and click Search Account

Click Create Bid for the appropriate End Customer Name

Or click Create Account if you need to create a new End Customer account

– Enter the required details and click Save

– Click Create Bid against the new End Customer Name


Bid Request Generation In the CTO Bid Request Detail page, header and item information can be checked

If Bid Request Type = CTO, it is a CTO bid request or if Bid Request Type = PC, it is a PC bid request

Check Ref ID details by clicking the Reference ID link to go to the CTO configuration page in the CTO Tool

Edit Bid Request – New Item

New CTO items can be added after the bid request is created

Click New Item to go to the CTO cart item page


Edit Bid Request – New Item

In the shopping cart, click Add to Existing Bid Request - only CTO bid requests will be

listed

Click Edit on the relevant bid request item

Any tied Service will be changed accordingly

For Service items, no values can be changed

Edit Bid Request – Delete CTO Item Click Del to delete a CTO item & the tied services will be deleted at the same time


Edit Bid Request – Delete Other Item

Click Del next to an Option, Visual, Services, or Software item to delete that item

without impacting the CTO item


Submit Bid Request Click Submit for Approval to start price calculation, followed by auto or manual approval (manual

approval will be where authorisation by Lenovo is required)

Bid Price Calculation After creating the bid request, click Submit for Approval to get the estimated reseller price

The estimated reseller price is then calculated by the tool and is based on the requested price

versus the pricing parameters


CTO Bid Request Approval Process An email will be sent with approved bid request details. Note: bid request prices are for

guidance purposes only. Distributors set their own prices and terms and conditions

Click Accept Quotation or edit the bid request to re-submit the request


Additional Information in Bid Request

1 New Email Quote to Disti button included in bid request after pricing approval

2 Partners can use this feature to email the quote to their selected distributors

For T2 Resellers, after clicking Accept Quotation, then continue to the Distributor Inventory

Selection page to choose a T1 Distributor, input the quantities for each bid request item and then

submit for contract generation

For CTO and bundled Service product line items the inventory status will always be grey (i.e. not

applicable).

For other product line items (e.g. options or visuals) the inventory status will be indicated by the

usual Lenovo Bid Portal colour criteria



Distributor Selection After T2 Resellers select a Distributor, a Price Acceptance Notification email with an attached

Bid Portal Quotation will be sent to the T2 Reseller

Contract Generation After accepting a quotation the bid request Status will change to ‘Awaiting contract generation’

For T2 Partners, bids will be generated according to the Distributors that have been selected. Each

selected distributor generates one bid, with each bid item being the products that will be ordered from

this distributor.

Contract Generation After the contract is generated, the bid request status will change to ‘Contract submitted to nominated

distributor(s)’


If the contract has an error, the bid request status will change to ‘Contract error’, please contact your

Lenovo Sales contact or Distributor for assistance

• Bid Portal Final Quotation is resent to the T2 Partners once the Machine Type & Model (MTM) has been generated. This is to show the correct part number to use when ordering
