This season, it’s all about texture and layers. Chanel’s Pre-Fall 2015 breathed trimmings and opulence inspired by Austrian and Tylorean tradition. The show, set at an 18th cen-tury palace called Schloss Leopoldskron, also premiered creative director Karl Lagerfeld’s

new Chanel film entitled “Reincarnation” (starring Pharrell Williams and Cara Delev-ingne). Locally, 52 designers graced the SMX convention center with this year’s Holiday Fashion Week. Notable trends include interesting concepts such as capes, scarlet, belts,

high color grade fabic and anti-fitting tops. What are you wearing this season?

The Return ofA Classic

by Czareena Macaspac & Angela Solquillo

A teleserye that captured the hearts of the people, characters that became a part of the Filipino homes for two years, and the one that changed the entire game of the Philippine television. Pangako Sa’yo indeed became a hit in the year 2000 as it starred the country’s now re-spectable actors and actresses. It was also aired in more than ten countries around the world and even had its own international adaptation, making it the most suc-cessful Philippine television series to air internationally.

In 2015, a whole new version of the said teleserye will be shown again to the Filipinos, the question now is, will it ever incommensurate the classic that was aired before?

Rumors and hearsays about the remake took over the Internet for the past few weeks, until on De-cember 3, 2014, ABS-CBN confirmed about it with a teaser that entirely became a big thing for most of the Filipinos. This time with the modern retelling of Panga-ko Sa’yo, some of the country’s biggest names will surely grace our television screens with their own version of the teleserye.

Rory Quintos will return as the di-rector of the show, Angelica Panganiban and Jodi Sta. Maria, who was also a part of the original cast, will play Claudia Buenavista and Amor Powers. Then according to the sta-tion a more mature side of Daniel Padilla and Kathryn Bernardo will be seen as they play the show’s lead roles, Angelo Buenavista and Yna Macaspac, which were formerly played by Jericho Rosales and Kristine Hermosa.

A lot of questions are still in the air for this adaptation, because of the expectations that were raised from the very beginning for this teleserye. For now we will just have to wait as 2015 is fast approaching and every-one is excited to see what is in store for the modern retelling of Pangako Sa’yo.

Behind the Scenes

It was 10 o’clock in the morning, and the sun was shining brightly in the Bonifacio Glob-al City at Taguig. It was a perfect Saturday

weather to go out and have fun – a different kind of fun for the FLARE team for our De-

cember issue. Gusts of wind shared its chill in a first week of December morning.

Marvi Rose, a stunning and elegant young woman and model,is the one who made

FLARE’s first published issue a success. Take a peek into her behind-the-scenes photo shoot!

On and off the camera, it is undoubtedly natu-ral for her to appear as a dynamic and youthful model to the ladies around her. No wonder she is also a Commissioner for Education at De La Salle-College of Saint Benilde – a blossoming notable lady on her way to a bright future.

FLARE offers a never-ending gratitude to: our free-lance photographers, CzareenaMacaspac and Jean Abordo, for capturing these beautiful images; to

Marvi’s make-up artist, Angela Solquillo, for mak-ing our model amazingly beautiful and extra special for FLARE’s first issue; to our artistic and creative director, Rodz Villanueva, who helped with our

model’s projection and helped in styling the clothes she wore and to Paige Espiritu for helping with the

whole accomplishment of the photo shoot.

Marvi is really photogenic. She projects well at the camera, and she is very pretty”, says our photographer as she takes each moment as an oppor-tunity to capture a beautiful moment of Marvi’s musings.

Marvi’s Behind-the-Scenes: Being as dazzling as ever, Marvi’s candid shots appear very charming. She was pictured right outside of BGC’s football field.

A Blooming Lady: Marvi Rose is seen in a denim outfit with a scarf around her neck, topped with a black hat on her head.
