Twin Channel Flame Monitoring with Shutter Self-Check
The UV and IR Cells are incorporated into a single head
assembly, reducing the number of Viewing Heads required
on multi-fuel burner applications.
Both signal sources are passed from the Viewing Head to
the Head Transmitter where they are conditioned into a
single analogue signal, which feeds into one Flame Monitor
Control Unit. This gives greater flexibility, especially where
viewing space is limited
• BSI Certified to BS EN 298 : 2003
Test Report No: TR/12/346
• American Bureau of Shipping Certificate No:
12-LD941747-PDA
• Excellent Discrimination between Burner
and Background
• UV spectral wavelength 190~270 Nanometres
• IR spectral wavelength 300~950 Nanometres
• Volt Free Contact for Alarm and Flame On
• Shutter Self Check
• Analogue Flame Signal Level Readout
• Output for Remote Flame Level Meter
(0~10V as standard)
• Fully adjustable Gimble with Air Purge attachment
• Temperature rating – 0~85°C for the controls
& 0~90°C for the viewing head

These burners have been utilized to burn all types of liquid & gaseous fuels
such as the examples listed below:
Liquid Fuels: Gaseous Fuels:
• Low Sulphur Diesel & other Light Fuel Oils • Natural Gas
• Low Sulphur Heavy Stock • Refinery Fuel Gases
• Creosote & other coal derived by-products • Hydrogen
• Residual Fuel Oils & Tar • Sour Gas
• Magnesium Liquor • LPG
• Aqueous Ammonia • Tail Gas
• Coal-water Slurry • Ammonia Off-gas
Special Design Features
• Special steam atomised oil nozzles providing fuel
staging and offset pray pattern to ensure overall flame
dimensions are minimized whilst ensuring maximum
burn-out time in the space available.
• Adjustable & fuel staged gas nozzles sometimes utilizing
an ‘Open Ended’ design to prevent blockages and to
ensure a softer flame for NOx control.
• Stainless steel, staged tertiary air quarl for NOx, CO
and particulate emission control.
• ‘Suspended flame’ profile with no impingement on any
part of the burner assembly.
• Easy installation with no refractory forming required
