Weddings are a joy at First United Methodist Church of Dallas. Located in the heart of downtown Dallas for over 165 years, FirstChurch provides a sacred space for you to celebrate the most joy-filled event of your life: the sacrament of Christian marriage.

Our clergy and professional staff enable you to experience your wedding as a true spiritual celebration. We take seriously your preferences and experiences while maintaining Christian integrity and the traditions that have enriched the marriages of countless generations.

Our historic, neo-Gothic sanctuary features a majestic center aisle, grand stained glass windows, a world-class pipe organ, and seats up to 1,200 guests while serving as an intimate space for weddings of any size. The charming Dickerson Chapel accommodates up to 80 guests in a traditional setting. No matter the venue, our caring clergy ensure each bride and groom enjoy meaningful wedding services.

Each wedding party enjoys the use of the FirstChurch facilities for 1 hour on the evening of the rehearsal and 3 hours on the day of the ceremony (2 hours prior, 1 hour after the start time). Sanctuary ceremonies are conducted on floor level at the Chancel Rail.

Weddings for non-members may be scheduled up to one year in advance. Member weddings may be scheduled as far in advance as the church calendar permits. FirstChurch does not schedule weddings or rehearsals on Easter weekend or Christmas.

FirstChurch offers professional, HD video production services for all weddings for a nominal fee.

The Fiedler Atrium blends the neo-Gothic architecture of our historic sanctuary with a modern, light-filled gathering space perfect for receptions and may be reserved for an additional fee. Receptions may include everything from punch and cake to seated dinners. Full audio/video equipment is available. These rooms may be reserved for your use for an additional fee.
