English as a foreign language (EFL) refers to

English to students whose first language is not

English. EFL usually occurs in the student's own

country

A foreign language is the language that is used

within the walls of academic institutions. You

study at schools. You cannot use it with common

people around.

TESL or teaching English as a second language
