April 21, 2020  Families,

Has it really been four weeks? Thank you families for your continued at home efforts. The choice board below is similar to the ones you have received in the past. Knowing that you all are balancing a lot we wanted to simplify plans this week by color coding the activities. Items in ORANGE are NEW learning. We hope this will help with balancing what your child will need help with and what they could do independently.

As always, if you have any questions or concerns PLEASE contact your child’s teacher. We are here to help in any way we can. We create these plans with a balance of choice and creativity. We understand new learning can bring excitement or worry, but we are confident our 1st graders are up for the challenge.

Suggested Remote Learning Minutes: 20 minutes of a choice in the reading column 20 minutes of a choice in the math column 20 minutes of a choice from writing/word work/science or social studies  Suggestions for After Academic Remote Learning Minutes: Extra epic time Extra dream box lesson Any family engagement activity listed by your classroom teacher Encore choice board

 Best Wishes and stay safe,

 The first grade teachers
