Bageland’s current chalk menu boards do not represent the restaurant or cater to their customer base. In response, I created a black and white illustrated menu board to convey informality and professionalism. I also made a napkin menu board key to function as a souvenir of the wonderful Bageland experience.

Shame poles are a Native American tradition created to guilt a person into leveling unpaid debts. Inspired by this idea, I decided to cater it to the college student. This shame pole addresses my own guilt and unpaid debts within the collegiate party atmosphere. The ice symbolizes a happy facade, altering the arrangement of the pole from vertical to horizontal as it melts away.

Each shirt features a handmade tag with a personal anecdote communicating how I acquired that shirt. I ask the viewer to consider an alternate meaningof the traditional self portrait.

Inspired by Shantanu Suman’s many personal graphic t-shirts, these t-shirts were designed as a gift in collaboration with Kylie Leuthold. They comment on the underappreciation of college teachers, and our gratitude for all that Shantanu has taught us about graphic design. One was given to him at the opening of his show on March 15th.

This set of diet pills addresses the irrational way in which our culture treats eating. Eating and its aftermath can become a vicious cycle. Health and money consequences are the most noticeable side effects. I aim to point out the logic in deleting this cycle.
