Applications■ Temporary or permanent sealing around cables, cable bundles
and cable trays in wall and floor openings■ Cables, cable bundles and cable trays■ Conduits and conduit bundles■ Co-axial cables
Advantages■ Easy to install, no electric tools required■ Very easy maintenance and retrofitting of cables■ Economical installation as the block is pre-cured and
ready-to-use■ Painting of cables with firestop coating is not required■ Installation of cables with zero separation to the edge of the
penetration is possible■ Very good seismic features

Excerpt of ETA document. Check the exact field of application for each Penetration (type, diameter) in the ETA 13/0099 document.
When tE ≤ 200 mm frame should be installed made of class A1 or A2 material (e.g. Gypsum).
Beading can be used as alternative to aperture framing to reach 200 mm seal thickness
When tE ≤ 200 mm beading should be installed made of class A1 or A2 material (e.g. Gypsum). WA ≥ 100 mm
For large (≥ 700 x 500 mm) blank floor seals, additional support needed
Add metal band width ≥ 30 mm, thickness ≥ 2 mm for large floor seals without penetration.
To reach EI 120 with cables, Firestop putty bandage CFS-P BA must be used
See ETA for details.Cover for 100 mm outside opening with a 1st layer. Cover the cables and the tray with an additional layer.
Distance requirements Minimum distance between cables, pipes and edges is 0 mm, except:50 mm between cable and support above them (s5)20 mm between conduits Ø ≥ 16 mm and other penetrants or seal edge
Hilti Firestop foam CFS-F FX to seal small gaps
Hilti firestop foam CFS-F FX is used in areas without services to fill gaps at the top of penetrations where Hilti firestop block CFS-BL would otherwise have to be cut to complete the sealing of the penetration. Classification of the penetration is as fora blank seal, seal depth 200 mm.

Build-up the firestop blocks CFS-BL and fill the lower part of the opening.
If cables are in place, cut the firestop block CFS-BL as required.
Fill all gaps between the cables and the blocks with firestop filler mastic CFS-FIL on both sides of the penetration to a depth of 20 mm at least. Fasten an identification plate in place, if required.
For services on cable supports, fill gaps between services and blocks with firestop filler mastic CFS-FIL over the entire depth of the seal.
