FirePro UK were proud to be in attendance at the FirePro Global Distributors Convention held in Athens, Greece in May 2014

57 nations were represented to listen to product development and certification news as well as give a summary of their respective success in their own countries

The board of Directors and senior staff delivered individual presentations for further product development & certification, as well as new innovative applications in beta testing now





There was much open two way discussion that followed for most of the day with delegates from differing countries interacting together to discuss product ideas development of the global market





Day 2 saw a stream of distributor presentations from virtually all delegates that were present – with just 10 minutes each, presentations were kept sharp - Navware in Canada explained that their marine business outweighs their land business 65% / 35%





Fire Safety, Netherlands shared an update on success where FirePro is installed to protect people and assets in numerous types of establishments from Government, historic, machinery, switchgear and many others





Antonio Sanchez of Sigas, Spain, explained how their market for FirePro has significantly grown in the past three to four years, with numerous installations and satisfied clients that have saved money against conventional gas suppression





Hochiki America Corporation were represented as the Master distributor for FirePro in the USA & Mexico – they see significant opportunities to offer an entire early warning and fully modular fire suppression system





In Argentina, FirePro has been established for some time now to protect mining machinery as well as industrial plant protection for both room and in cabinet flood applications





Technilab in Portugal are an industrial machinery specialist supplying a number of blue chip clients throughout Europe and as far as Angola, FirePro has grown their business as a “bolt on” modular fire suppression solution





FirePro has enjoyed consistent growth in Brazilian markets over many years, thanks to Ecosafety, a fire systems engineering specialist, and FirePro master distributor with a network of trained distributors





The Indian markets were boosted earlier this year with seismic testing certification for FirePro generators and control panels to satisfy Indian regulatory bodies that subsequently placed orders to protect a significant amount of power generators





In Honk Kong FirePro was accepted for use on the MTR metro to replace obsolete and expensive BTM gas extinguishing systems in power distribution and power generator rooms. An upgrade programme is now planned for the entire metro system





Plant and control rooms for Liquefied Natural Gas control projects in Egypt are now protected with FirePro as the preferred choice over pressurised gas





Mining in South Africa has been a key growth area for the South African economy – FirePro has grown over time as the fire suppression agent of choice to protect mining machinery thanks to WIM marketing SA





Significant growth was achieved in South Korea in numerous applications from wind turbines, offshore, power distribution and many other markets –future development using IP technology will be with us shortly





Our turn followed to report on how positively UK markets are responding and take up for new distributors who see technical and commercial advantages of using FirePro as alternative suppression agent –which continues !
