The main objective of the Fire Eater Installation Training Course is to provide tech- nicians with the proper skills to enable them to install INERGEN-systems in accor- dance with Fire Eater guidelines. The target group of the training course Fitters, Service Technicians, Project Engineers and Product Managers. The goal of the training course The overall objective of any Fire Eater College training course is to provide anyone working with Fire Eater with a greater understanding of the most common guidelines when work- ing with Fire Eater equipment. The Installation training course A 2 day training course during which the student will gain overall knowledge of the various extinguishing agents on the market, with special focus on INERGEN®. The student will receive a thorough introduction to Fire Eater components, typically including Fire Eater’s Control Inert system (Ci-system), including stand-alone systems, selector valves and activation options. The introduction will also cover basic hardware theory within the Fire Eater product range and the rules and regulations which may have a influence on how the product should be installed and handled. Most of the Installation course will be hands-on training. Skills obtained during the training course After completing the training course, graduates should be able to install a Fire Eater INERGEN® system correctly. This will typically include cylinder handling and installation of stand-alone and multi-zone systems, including correct handling of pressurised equipment, installation of valves, actuators, piping, pressure relief, etc. Conditions and limitations The student or the student’s employer must have ordered the special tools required to be able to perform service and maintenance. In order to provide the best possible training environment, the Installation training course is typically limited to 10-12 participants at a time. f Installation of detection systems and control panels is not included in the standard training course. f Subjects not covered by the standard education needs to be ordered separately. f Using the right tools is a necessity for obtaining the competency certificate.
