❖ The University of Helsinki Teacher Training School is one of our major collaboration partners. Therefore, our visiting groups will

have an opportunity to visit the school and participate in an interactive training session with the school's leadership team.

❖Understanding about Finnish education is incomplete without understanding the Finnish history and culture. Therefore, our

educational tour package often includes some cultural site visits and nature exploration too. For instance, a visit to a museum and

Finnish world heritage sites or simply walking to the nearby forest and lakes or a walking tour to the city centre and cultural sites,

such as a Church Square etc.

Our Founder Director and CEO, Mr. Narayan Bhatta is an experienced

educational leadership & management professional trained in the leading

Finnish universities. Narayan has a Master's Degree in Educational

Leadership & Management studies from the University of Jyväskylä

along with a Post Graduate Qualification in Finnish Professional Teacher

Education. Narayan is also a PhD. Research Scholar at the University of

Jyväskylä School of Business & Economics.

Narayan has been engaged as a manager, teacher, trainer, writer and

educational leadership and management consultant in Finland for the

last nine years. He is a highly motivated young professional with a vision

for inspiring 21st century teaching & learning as well as connecting

education to work entrepreneurship and professionalism.

Lea Kuusilehto-Awale, The Founder & Leader of AwaLead Ltd. (Oy) is a

seasoned educator and educational administrator as well as trainer of

trainers in education. She has served as Programme Director of an

international Master’s degree programme in Educational Leadership in the

University of Jyväskylä, Finland.

Her professional experiences and expertise has ranged from Early

Childhood Education & Care (ECEC) to K-12 and higher education as well

as adult education and training. Prior to her university career she had a long

career as a principal including in an International Baccalaureate Diploma

School, training principals in the national training centre of the Finnish

National Agency for Education, teaching foreign languages, as a CEO in the

NGO sector, and as a local politician. Lea has lectured internationally on the

factors behind the success of Finnish basic education, and the ethos of

equity and equality of the Finnish education system.

The founder of Opintiet Education Finland, Tapani Kaartinen (Doctor of Education) has worked as a teacher and

teacher trainer in various international educational settings; including for 32 years as a lecturer in The University

Practice School of Tampere (1984-2016). Founded by Tapani Kaartinen in 1995 as a teacher training and

adventure education providing company; Opintiet Oy is now an official member of Education Finland.

The core expertise of Opintiet Oy Education Finland is in tailored teacher training, arranging adventure pedagogy

field trips, outdoor education and camp schools in Finland, Sweden & Estonia. Nordic Quest College works in

close cooperation with Dr. Kaartinen & his company, particularly in arranging EduTour Packages & Forestry

Education.

Tapio Lahtero (Ph.D.) has done his career both in the Finnish municipal

education system and in Finnish universities. He graduated with a M.A. in

teacher education from the University of Turku in 1993 and defended his

doctoral thesis at the University of Jyväskylä in 2011 on the leadership culture

of educational organizations. His eMBA degree in leadership of public

administration is from the University of Tampere in 2015.

He has been employed as a headmaster, district headmaster and Director of

Education in Vantaa City over ten years and since 2015 as Administrative

Headmaster of the University of Helsinki’s Viikki and Helsinki Normal Lyceum

Teacher Training Schools.

He has been engaged in leadership training of school heads and directors of

education offices in the Universities of Jyväskylä, Turku and Helsinki and has

published several research articles on leadership culture and strategic as well

as pedagogical leadership. He also works as a consultant and has consulted

educational organizations on their change and development processes both

in Finland and abroad.

The Founder and CEO of Global Innerworld Oy (Ltd.), Mr. Sami Kivela has nearly 15 years of

professional experience in international Higher Education. As Senior Lecturer in a Finnish University of

Applied Sciences, he has taught ethics, sustainable development, personal and professional growth,

research methodology and intercultural education among other subjects.

He has supervised dozens of practical placements and thesis processes, coordinated and managed

global cooperation projects and introduced innovative digital technologies to educational contexts.

Currently he designs blended learning solutions as an independent expert.

Mr. Kivela has a Post Graduate Degree in Teacher Education, Master’s Degree in Theology and

ongoing PhD studies in Education. He is passionate about making the world more equitable and

thrilled to engage in dialogue with learners from around the world. In 2017, he was awarded the title

Sustainable Citizen of the Year by the Finnish National Commission on Sustainable Development.

❖Nordic Quest College team will then get back to the group coordinator for programmecustomisation and determining the fee accordingly.

❖Once, the programme is finalized and the fee is agreed, Nordic Quest College will then sendan invoice and payment details.

❖Pay the programme fee as invoiced and send us the receipt of the payment confirmation.

❖ After receiving the payment confirmation, Nordic Quest College will send the final invitationletter and official programme details.

❖Once you receive our invitation letter and official programme details, book your flight itineraryand travel insurance accordingly.

❖ Book an appointment to your nearest embassy of Finland or Finland Visa Application Center.

❖Once you receive your visa to come to Finland, inform us about the decision and let us knowyour arrival date.

❖Rejection of visa is very rare for this kind of educational tour cum training programme toFinland, when the applicant has a right professional backgrounds and financial proofs.However, if that happens for some reason, please let us know whether you prefer refund ofyour payment or consider reapplying the visa.
