Who wouldn’t want a six-foot white rabbit for a best friend? Mr. Dowd’s

family wouldn’t, that’s who! It’s awkward and embarrassing to even

speak of such things. Mr. Dowd would be better off taking his fanciful

imaginings to a mental hospital. However, that might only complicate

things when others meet Mr. Dowd and his friend. For decades this hilarious and insightful Pulitzer Prize play, by

Mary Chase, has been an audience delight.

Season Ticket holders may not receive the same seats for each performance, but are seated in the best available location for each event. Individual Tickets will go on sale beginning August 15, 2011. Individual Tickets will be assigned on a best available basis. Guests wishing to be seated together should order together.

SeatingWe will always choose the best seats available when your order is processed. When ordering your tickets, please notify us of any special seating needs or general areas of preference. We cannot guarantee particular seats but will honor requests based on availability at the time of processing. To view a more detailed seating chart of Sebits Auditorium please go to www.friends.edu/ticket-information.

Accessibility & Special SeatingWe have limited availability for special seating accommodations, including wheelchairs, and making adjustments at the time of the performance is difficult. Please let us know when placing your order if you need space for a wheelchair, have limited mobility, cannot climb stairs, need an aisle seat, or have any other special needs. For more information, please call the Friends University Fine Arts Office at (316) 295-5677. We will be happy to help you.

Ticket Refunds & ExchangesTickets may be exchanged one time and only for a different performance of the same show. Tickets may be exchanged during regular business hours. All exchanges must take place at least 24 hours in advance of the date on your ticket. Refunds will be given only if the show is cancelled.

ParkingFree parking is available in the lots to the north and northwest of the Riney Fine Arts Center. There is also free street parking on the east side of the building, but spaces are limited. Due to other events on campus and the size of our audience, please plan to arrive early for the best available parking.

Performance TimesAs a courtesy to the artists and patrons, we strive to start all performances on time. Seating after the start of any performance is at the discretion of the house manager, according to the wishes of the artists and director.

ChildrenChildren who are able and interested in watching with the rest of the audience are most welcome. Crying, noisy or fussy children are disruptive to the audience and to artists and must be removed promptly from the auditorium. Due to the length and content of performances, we recommend most of our events for ages six and over. All children, regardless of age, must have a ticket, and children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult throughout the performance. Please call us at (316) 295-5677 to determine whether a particular show is appropriate for children. We will be happy to discuss our shows and help you make a decision about age suitability.

Photography & RecordingFor the safety and consideration of our performers and audience, please refrain from using cameras or recording devices.

Inclement Weather & Cancellations

Cancellation of our events is rare. If you are concerned about the weather and want to know if a performance is cancelled, please call the Fine Arts Office at (316) 295-5677. This message will be immediately updated to reflect any cancellations. If there is no mention of a cancellation, the performances are planned as scheduled. Decisions to cancel are usually made by 4 p.m. Due to calendar restrictions, we may not be able to reschedule all cancelled events.

Off-campus PerformancesPlease note only cash and checks will be accepted at the door for off-campus performances.

All programs, artists, ticket prices, dates and times are subject to change without notice. For questions or more information about any of our policies or events, please call the Fine Arts Office at (316) 295-5677.
