Bordeaux now has about 116,160 hectares (287,000acres) of vineyards, 57 appellations, 10,000 wine producing
châteaux and 13,000 grape growers. With an annual production of approximately 960 million bottles. Our challenge is to find not only the best values, but also wines with character and integrity giving the best possible representation of their terroir and apellation.

It was Florence Decoster, the present owner, who first nurtured that idea and brought it
to fruition in the year 2000. Her husband, Dominique, having just completed the sale of
his Limoges porcelain business, Haviland, had his doubts. “And now buy a vineyard?” he
wondered slightly perplexed. Slowly but surely the idea grew on him and finally Florence
and Dominique, both of them lovers of nature and fine dining, became enamoured with
their new plan. Arriving for the first time at the Château Fleur Cardinale estate, which is
located on a limestone plateau just a few miles from the historic village of Saint-Emilion;
Florence and Dominique were amazed by the beauty of the place and its surrounding
countryside. They acquired the property in May 2001.

Château Laborde is situated in the region of Lalande de Pomerol, very close to Saint-Emilion and
bordering on the Pomerol region, steeped in history.
The history of the Roy-Trocard
family dates back to 1628, almost
400 years ago, when the Trocards
bought their first vines in the
Libourne area. Since then, each of
the 15 generations has produced a
winegrower, both male and female.
Over the years, a family-owned
vineyard stretching over a total 68
hectares has emerged, covering 4
Bordeaux appellations.
The varieties present in the
vineyard are: 10 % Cabernet
Sauvignon , 20 % Cabernet Franc
and 70 % Merlot .
With Merlot wines from Château
Laborde have net red fruit aromas
and roundness

100% Gamay. This wine has a light body and a silky fruitiness and spiciness. There is a fine balance
within this elegant red, with a lingering finish. It has ripe, aromatic flavors of cherry, blackberry, and
beautifully layered violet.
This cru was named after Julius Ceasar. Julienas growers believe that this area was the site of the first
vineyards planted in Beaujolais by the Romans during the conquest of Gaul.

Red Sancerre is made from Burgundy’s Pinot Noir grape, and is only produced in relatively small
quantities. Because of this, it is seldom seen outside of France. Contrary to most red Burgundies, it is
typically drunk fairly young.
100% Pinot Noir. This wine
shows remarkable depth and
complexity alongside a smooth
elegance. Earthy cherry fruit
dominate the flavor of this wine.
It is classically Burgundian in
style and body, marked by
intense aromatics, fresh acidity,
and a dry flinty quality.

The Bonadona family originates from the Italian Piemont, settled in Papal Comtat Venaissin at the end of the 15th century. In 1505, Conrad de Bonadona, Prior of the Malemort monastery, acquires in Blauvac the former summer residence of the bishops of Carpentras. The estate passes then to his brother Jeannin and his nine children who started to produce wine, but also madder and truffles. Eighteen generations later, their descen-dants perpetuate this tradition and offer this wine produced from their estate grapes of grenache and syrah.

Chateauneuf Du Pape Les Terrasses
Les Terrasses Châteauneuf-du-Pape 2015 ....................$ 228Châteauneuf-du-Pape (CDRR07-14)
Located half-way between Orange
and Châteauneuf-du-Pape, in a cor-
ner of nature that remains intact, the
vines roots plunge deep into stony
ground heated by the hot Provence
sun and swept by the powerful
Mistral wind. Between coppices of
green oak, pine trees and sweet-
smelling Garrigue heathland, our
vines flourish like jewels in a setting
of vegetation that has lost nothing
of its wildness. Here, small fauna
and game of all types roam, proving
the preserved biodiversity that is a
major contributor to the balance of
our terroir.
There is different type of soil in
Chateauneuf and «Les Terrasses
are 100% where we have a mix
of the famous big river-rolled
pebbles, brown clay and light
sand make up our plots giving our
wine their own special personality.
A good number of underwater
springs ensure that water levels
remain stable, giving our vine a
regular ripening.
what’s common in all high end
«Terroir» around the world is
a pour soils, which offer also a
regular water supply.
the alliance of 5 cépages : Grenache, Syrah, Mourvèdre, Cinsault et Counoise, bring to this alluring
chateauneuf , warm ganache and black tea notes leading the way for velvety-textured fig sauce, plum
and crushed blackberry fruit. The long finish is filled with licorice and anise

If 2016 isn’t the breakout year for these wines, especially Portugal’s, then it’s nobody’s fault but theirs as producers for not catching their rising marketing star and riding it hard, and also ours, as wine lovers, for not seeing its brilliance on our horizon. Really, these are original-tasting wines that are not to be missed in 2016.» – Wine Spectator

1st Count of Arrochela, Bernardo de Arrochela Alegria is the mastermind behind this
project that sought to recover Casa de Arrochella’s history in the Douro Valley region. This
project was born from Bernardo’s deep passion for the Douro Valley region and his desire
to perpetuate the history of its roots and project it into the future, as a legacy for new
generations.
Monte da Penha is a family property located near Portalegre, the capital of North Alentejo.
The family has been involved in the production of high quality wines since the beginning of
the century, when Joaquin da Cruz Baptista founded the wine “Tapada do Chaves”. Monte

of the wines of Portalegre.

“I’ve never missed even one harvest. Do
you know why? I only get paid once a
year, so I’m going to show up for harvest
to ensure I get paid!” — Charlie Barra
In 1955 Charlie purchased Redwood Valley Vineyards,
175 acres of vineyard located at the headwaters of the
Russian River, nestled at the base of rolling foothills.
When Charlie purchased the vineyard, farmers were
averaging as little as $40 a ton for their grapes, as the
demand for quality wine based on true varietals had
not yet been established. Most growers were still far-
ming what Charlie calls “standard” grapes that were
used by the major wine producers to make Burgundy
and Chablis--the basic table wines of the times. But
after a few short years of growing “vin ordinaire”,
Charlie could see the tide was turning.
Over the next 35 years, Charlie would add another
six varietals to the soils of Redwood Valley Vineyards
