We are glad you are here with us today!
Some of us are here to spend time with family and friends, some of us are here because this is our parish. All of us are here because today we celebrate the joy of what God has done. As we reflect on today’s celebrations with our church
family, our friends and relatives, our hope is that we have experienced Jesus alive in us.
Thank you for celebrating with us today, our presence to one another is itself an occasion of

Prayer for Memorial Day
God of power and mercy, you destroy war and put down earthly pride.
Banish violence from our midst and wipe away our tears,
that we may all deserve to be called your sons and daughters.
Keep in your mercy those men and women who have died in the cause of freedom
and bring them safely into your kingdom of justice and peace.
We ask this though Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen

SAFEGUARD THE CHILDREN Did you know? What cons tutes a concern worth repor ng? Parents have a responsibility to report concerns they have about another person’s behaviors or ac ons that could put their children — or any children — at risk. These concerns are anything that makes the parent uneasy or uncomfortable, or anything that a child reports made them feel uneasy or uncomfortable. Some examples of seemingly li le things that can be worth repor ng include: A teacher covering her glass classroom door with artwork, elimina ng the ability to see into the classroom from the hall; a youth ministry icebreaker ac vity, where teens have to pass a mint candy from person to person using only toothpicks in their mouth, despite the discomfort of some par cipants. For a copy of the VIRTUS® ar cle “What is a ‘Concern’ that I Should Communicate?” visit h p://www.la-archdiocese.org/org/protec ng/Pages/VIRTUS-Current-Online-Ar cles.aspx.
