INTRODUCTION Nowadays, marine industries grow very fast

entire parts of the world.

The increasing demands on shipping tonnage

among all countries in this world, for import and export as example, affects the ship industries in Malaysia. The

use of marine airbags concept was developed in the year 1981 in the Jinan province of China. most recognized launching and landing a ship. method of

Nowadays,

reducing usages of tows and tugs5/17/12

PROBLEM STATEMENT How to launch and dock a vessel using

marine airbags. Find out what is the steps taken and other instruments related. How much of force applied values to pull up/push down a barge on airbag. calculations to be the easiest way getting the result precisely.

Is there any software that can program

OBJECTIVEThe main objectives are;1. To study and do research on launching

and docking method.2. To provide a program using software

according to calculations involved.

SCOPES OF RESEARCHThe scopes of research for this project are;Force applied in slip up = slip down. This project is focusing on slipping up a

barge(docking)

The research only covers for a 100 m barge The calculation covers only ship in static

motion position

The analysis will be done using MAXSURF and

MATLAB software.

All rules and regulation regarding safety will

be followed to ensure the result will be 5/17/12 accepted.

Method(docking) using airbagsStep1. Prepare the space and all the

necessary equipments.

Step2. Putting in airbags.

Step3. Pulling the barge.Let the ship dock

on land support by blocks.

Step4. After docking, retrieve all the

airbags.
