Rashtriya Urja Jana Jagriti Abhiyan(RUJJA)

• Mass movement for Energy Self-reliant

Bharat

• Partners- MNRE, VNIT, REC,BEE, PCRA, MGIRI

• Four Urja Yatra, starting from Jammu,Kanyakumari, Rajkot & Kolkata

simultaneously, culminating at geographical

centre of India, Nagpur, travelling 8000 kms

covering 18 states & conducting 260 public

meetings on their way

• 1st India International Energy Summit,

Energy Expo, workshops, modern energy

village & various competitions held at

Visvesvaraya National Institute of Technology, Nagpur in Jan 2011

• Publishing Urja India- student’s magazine

• Each Urja Wahini, headed by a teacher

nominated by the school

• Teacher will enroll max. 60 students

(minimum 20 students required)• Conducting activity session of 1 hr/week

• Teacher’s Training Camp (NTTC) in first

week of September 2011

HOW TO APPLY?

•Schools should apply by nominating ateacher in-charge

• Registration form to be filled

• Minimum number to students required to

start Urja Wahini – 20 students

• Apply before 25th August 2011
