Company Profile (SSGC)

From 1956…..

Sui Southern Gas Company (SSGC) is Pakistan's

leading integrated gas Company. The company is

engaged in the business of transmission and

distribution of natural gas besides construction of high

pressure transmission and low pressure distribution

systems.

SSGCL transmission system extends from Sui

in Balochistan to Karachi in Sindh comprising

over 3,200 KM of high pressure pipeline ranging

from 12 - 24" in diameter.

Here I want to discuss company vision. The main goals of the SSGC vision is as being model utility to provide quality service to the its customers by following and maintaining high level of moral principles and standards and while using optimum use of resources.

Company Mission:  The SSGC’S mission is to meet and fulfill the energy requirements

of customers by providing a reliable and friendly environment and providing sustainable supply of natural gas and while conducting company business professionally, efficiently, ethically and with responsibility to all our stack holders, community and the nation.  

ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning)

An ERP system is an attempt to integrate all functions across a company to a single computer system that can serve all those functions’ specific needs.

Basically, an ERP combines several traditional management functions into a logical integrated system and facilitate flow of information across these functions. It is designed to model and automate basic processes across the organization over a centralized database and eliminates the need of disparate systems maintained by various units of the organization.

ERP in SSCG..

SSGC uses Oracle Application (Oracle Financial 11i) as their ERP.

It was installed in 2009 and it takes complete 1 year, because of it different dept. a lot of data was there to convert according to ERP systems and the basic work is to over come the duplication of data/information about Company and Customer

Users should be able to access any information in the system without needed integration work on the part of the IS department
