Is a multilateral development financing institutionEstablished in October 1975. The purpose of the Bank is to foster the economic development and social progress of member countries and Muslim communities individually as well as jointly in accordance with the principles of Shari'ah i.e., Islamic LawIt was established in pursuance of the Declaration of Intent issued by the Conference of Finance Ministers of Muslim Countrieslocated in Jeddah, Saudi ArabiaThe Bank was formally opened on 15 Shawwal 1395H corresponding to 20 October 1975, inspired by King Faisal.

Islamic Research and Training Institute (IRTI): IRTI was established in 1401H (1981) as the research and training arm of IDB.It plays an important role in the transformation of IDB Group into a world-class knowledge-based organization.Activities: training, research, advisory, capacity building, etc.
Corporation for the Development of the Private Sector (ICD): ICD was established in 1420H (1999).Its membership comprises 52 countries from four continents, namely:
Asia, Africa, Europe Latin America.
Islamic Corporation for the Insurance of Investment and Export Credit (ICIEC): ICIEC was established in 1415H (1994).Its membership comprises 40countries from three continents which is Asia, Africa and Europe.ICIEC promotes trade among member countries and with the rest of the world, and attract investments to member countries from other parts of the world.It provides the following services:
Export credit insurance and reinsurance Investment insurance and reinsurance
Islamic Trade Finance Corporation (ITFC) ITFC commenced operations in 1429H (2008). Its membership comprises 37 countries from three continents which is Asia, Africa and Europe. ITFC is an autonomous entity established with the objective of enhancing trade thereby improving the economic conditions and livelihoods of people throughout the Muslim world.
World WAQF Foundation (WWF)
WWF was established by IDB in 1422H (2001) To create a global entity for Waqf, in collaboration with Waqf organizations governmental, NGOs and philanthropists from the private sector.The objectives of the WWF are as follows:
Supporting organizations, projects, programmes and activities in the educational, health, social, and cultural fields.
Providing support in the conduct of studies and scientific research in the field of Waqf.
Assisting countries and organizations in drafting Waqf legislation
To foster the economic development and social progress of its 56 member countries and Muslim communities either individually as well as jointly in accordance with the principles of Shari'ah such Islamic Law.
Objective of IDB
To promote comprehensive human development, with a focus on the priority areas of alleviating poverty, improving health, promoting education, improving governance and prospering the people.

o Purpose : To ensure that staff members and other employees of
IDB Group conduct themselves in accordance with the highest levels of integrity.
To ensure that all activities, transactions, projects and operations financed and/or undertaken by any member of IDB Group either severally or jointly with other institutions.

o Violations of the duties and obligations incumbent on IDB Group staff members and other employees shall not be tolerated.
