ale globului pământesc.Nematodele sunt libere sauparazite.

CARACTERE GENERALE: Nematodele sunt viermi nesegmentaţi,multe dintre specii sunt microscopice,dar sunt şi speciile parazite care potdepăşi un metru. Corpul cilindric, cusimetrie bilaterală, acoperit cu cuticulă
– înveliş flexibil lipsit de cili sau flagelisub care se află muşchi dispuşilongitudinal. Tubul digestiv are orificiulbucal separat de orificiul anal. Nudiferenţiază sistemele circulator şirespirator. Reproducerea este sexuată,
sexele sunt separate şi prezintă unaccentuat dimorfism sexual (femelaeste mai mare decât masculul).
