The Stages

All films have to go through the same stages to get the results they want. Otherwise films would

not be structured correctly.

1. Pre-production2. Production

3. Post production4. Distribution

Pre-production • Every film maker has to have an idea. And

every idea has to be structured , altered ,corrected and refined.

• Also a film maker must think about the equipment , recruitment, storyboard and

budget.• Pre-production is the most fundamental stage

as it’s the start and without a start there is no end.

Production

• Production is the creation of the film, what every film maker looks forward too.

• This is where film makers get creative with the help of actors, set designers , costume and

makeup and too anyone on set.• This also very important in film production,

because without it there’s no film.

Post-Production

• Post-production, where everything is pieced together by the editor. The editors job is to

enhance the work , cut out mistakes and put the whole film together.

• Post-production also deals with the promotion of the film. The film need to advertised so that

people will go to watch the movie.

Distribution • The last stage , distribution. This stage is what it

sounds like, this is how film makers get their films in cinema.

• What a film maker has to do is go to a film distributor to publish their films. The

distributors analyse the films to check if the public would enjoy the film and if its worth the money.
