My Idea is to re-brand the British Independant Film Festival. This ‘Mod’ look is a little but old a cliche and a fresh approach with a more solid concept and more unique identity may be just what they need. I have emailed the founded of the festival who is interested in my ideas. They are working on a smal budget so thinking about low-budget unique products and ideas is vital. I also looked into some of the most iconic British Independant Films. Films such as Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels, This Is England and Trainspotting. I thought about how these can be used to promote an event, oth inside and outside of our country. I researchied into British Independant Film and how it is portrayed in the UK and also to other conountries. Most Independant Films are failrly low budget with most of the funding coming from The BFI (British Film Institute) of the UK Film Council, both of which are funded by the government, but work on very tight budgets. 01 / 05 I also looked at working Film Festivals across the world to get some inspiraation but to also see what they are doing right and wrong, and what hasn’t been done before. This will help push my concept to it’s boundaries.
