Applauseis an organization of Prep alumni, family, friends, and com-munity members who have banded together for the pur-pose of advancing the arts at Jackson Prep. We focus our energy, enthusiasm, and resources to promote the Band, Choir, Drama, and Visual Arts programs at Jackson Prep as they continue their tradition of excellence!

This past year, Applause helped fund art shows, band per-formances, Little Mermaid, M*A*S*H, the one act pro-duction, Voice of the Prairie, choral travel to festivals, and Reveillon’s travel to National Competition! Applause also helped provide materials and supplies for art classrooms, including a new kiln, wheels and color printers. For the band, 3 new sets of Tenor Drums, a Snare Drum, new drum heads, carrier cases and music were purchased. And for performing arts, Applause helped purchase an integral synthesizer, lighting accessories and gobo’s, software for lighting controls, sub woofers, and cubbies for junior high showchoirs. Also, funding was provided for the state com-petition trip for One Act.

In addition to financial support, Applause members help ensure the success of the Showchoir Showcase Masters Competition, and Jackson Prep Fine Arts events such as:
