The third “LIVING & DESIGN” residential space renovation TOTAL INTERIOR international trade fair will bring together innovative housing-related products and ideas for renovation from numerous Japanese and overseas companies, with a packed program of exhibitions scheduled at the venue.Collective participation by overseas companies is just one of the ways in which the openness of this trade fair to the Asian market is visible. An impressive lineup of guests from Japan and abroad will also be taking part in annual events and seminars. They include Cesare Casati, former editor-in-chief of Domus, who has exerted immense influence on residential environments and design in Italy; architect Shigeru Ban, responsible for the construction of the new Centre Pompidou in France; and Hiroko Koshino, active in a wide range of spheres from fashion to lifestyle. Actor Takuro Tatsumi, who has hosted a popular TV program on renovation for the past decade, will take part, and seminars and lectures featuring numerous experts will also be held. During the fair, many satellite events featuring furniture, interior design, and other lifestyle-related themes will additionally be held in Osaka City at venues such as showrooms within the city. A particular feature this year is the Osaka Midosuji Design Street, which will raise the profile of the Midosuji Boulevard, Osakaʼs main thoroughfare, worldwide. Boosting activity in the residential environment sector is fundamental for supporting lifestyle culture as well as the economy and industry. I am profoundly grateful for the cooperation and efforts of the very many people involved in holding this fair.
３回目を迎える「LIVING&DESIGNすまいのリノベーションTOTALINTERIOR」国際見本市は、内外多くの企業から、住まいに関する新作やリノベーションのアイディアなどが集まって、会場には盛りだくさんの展開が予定されています。海外企業のまとまった参加など、アジアのマーケットにも大きく開かれた見本市の様子が伺われます。例年開かれるイベントやセミナーも、内外から素晴らしいゲストの参加が決定致しました。イタリアの住環境やデザインに多大なる影響を与えた、元ドムス編集長チェーザレ・カザーティ氏、フランスの新しいポンピドーセンターの建築を担当した、建築家 坂茂氏、広くファッションからライフスタイルまで活躍中のコシノヒロコ氏。１０年に渡りリノベーション番組を担当している俳優の辰巳 郎氏の参加、そして他にも多くの専門家のセミナーや講演が開かれます。同時期に大阪市内では、サテライトとして市内のショールームなどで多くのライフスタイルに関する家具やインテリアなど、イベントが予定されています。また、御堂筋デザインストリートとして御堂筋が大きく世界にアピールするのも今年の特色です。住環境産業界の活性化は、暮らし文化や経済産業を支える基です。開催にあたり、多くの関係者の方々の協力や努力に心より御礼申し上げます。

This 80-m2 zone offers ideas for renovation provided by four creators working at the forefront of architecture and interior design. They put forward ideas for renovation on different themes to fit residentsʼ varying lifestyles.

毎回、好評な木工作家のコーナー。今回は、国際家具デザインフェア旭川開催委員会による、ＩＦＤＡ国際家具デザインコンペティション旭川 2011入賞入選作品展を設けます。また、４人の木工家による独創性に富んだ木工家具の展示も行います。The committee of International Furniture Design Fair Asahikawa displays the selected works of the IFDA 2011 competition. We display the wooden furniture providing the creativity by 4 wood workers.
