� Proposed Ferry Network – 20 Landings (9 new) – 6 Routes (5 new routes + 1 existing route) – $2.75 fare, same as subway/bus fare – Expected to serve 4.6M trips/year – 550,000 people live near proposed landings
� Landing Designs – Primarily spud barges with gangway access – Minimal upland improvements in first iteration
� Funding
– $55M in City capital for floats, gangways and capital infrastructure needs. – City and EDC working together to budget for operating subsidies
� Governance
– Staten Island Ferry remains with DOT – ERF and new routes are EDC managed, using private ferry operators – Landing maintenance, operations to be established through agreements with DOT

1. Create a safe ferry system
2. Launch three routes by 2017 ( Rockaway, Astoria, and South Brooklyn)
3. Launch remaining two routes by 2018 (Lower East Side, Soundview)
4. Ensure continuity of the East River Ferry service
5. Create a unified system focused on customer experience
