Ferdinand Magellan’s voyage was mostly successful. The original purpose of his voyage was to find a western route to the Spice Islands, and he found them. Plus, he and his crew were the first people to circumnavigate the globe, which was a massive accomplishment. However, 219 crew members died from the terrible sailing conditions, including Magellan himself. Even though many people died, Ferdinand Magellan’s voyage was a great thing.
