FeedingFeeding 1 FE = 1 FU (feed unit) New system from 2006:

1 Feso = 1 Feed unit for sows (= 7.700 kj)

1 Fesv = 1 Feed unit for all other pigs ( = 7.380 kj)

We have standards for– Amino acid– Mineral– Vitamins

The standards are based on trials

Raw material:Wheat, Barley and Soya meal

Feeding after weaning

Do not restrict feed in the first 3 days.(If no problems with diarrhoea)

After day 4 you can feed restricted if needed:

Everybody eats at the same time (min. 12 cm/pig at the trough)

Give feed 2-4 times pr. day

The feed must be eatet in 5-30 min. (through must be clean)

The smallest 10% - 20% of the pigs can be given at better feed.

In the first week after weaning feed intake is a very important factor in reducing diarré.

After 10-12 days all pigs are given feed ad. libitum

WeanersWeaners

Gruel feed in a long trough

• 1 kg meat 1,25 FE

• 1 kg fat 4 FE
